Both are conclusions of suspense anime with the worst possible ending to ever exist. At least Sotsu was involuntary comedy.

It might give you not the same creepy, is much shorter and not supernatural but if you just love absolute Chaos and Psychos all over the place, then you should give it a try! Short Summary: -Includes female Yandere Protagonist -Includes many other psychotic characters -Involves Crimes -Ends in Tragedy

Both anime tell about friendship of 2 young girls since childhood, which was initially fine but disputes arise when they start to grow up. They both also have almost same strength as power of mahou shoujo. Although there are many differences like ViVid Strike! with a sci-fi setting while Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou/Sotsu is more supernatural. Note: before watching this Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu, must watch prequel.

Using psychological & tension, both anime have a lot of real violence and typical mahou shoujo violence. About how one gains the power to subdue those closest to him, there is an admin/kamisama who gives power. Can give off almost same horror-action vibes, though Mahou Shoujo Site is more like a threatened world whereas Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu has a lot of different worlds.

Endless Eight and the entirety of Sotsu were essentially recaps of a previous experience being told in a different way or perspective, though Endless Eight felt more rewarding than whatever the fuck Sotsu managed to be.

When you watch this, you feel like a bit of watching Final Destination but with the setting of a japanese school involving mysterious events and rumors. - Bloody Scenes - Includes Mysteries - Is set in a school

If you like creepy villages similar to Hinamizawa and you are ready to set into another mysterious one, you might like this one. - Plays in a small village - Involves around Mysteries in the village - Includes Supernatural - Includes Violence

A protagonist feels a selfish love towards a girl who previously helped others by going through several hardships, with the former trying to sabotage the latter's actions.

Similarity : 1. Time loop concept 2. More time loop concept ; SUZUMIYA being at least decent compared to HIGURASHI...SOTSU.

Similarity : 1. Time loop concept. 2. STEINS;GATE, imo, is much better and progressive than HIGURASHI...SOTSU.

You like lots of Gore? You will probably like this. Does not have the setting of a creepy ambience in a village like Higurashi, but a lot of Action and also things that might you make thinking or even cry and feel hatred. If you are not good with a lot of Violence and you are bad at controlling your emotions, you definetly should not touch it. Pro: - Gory Scenes - Psychological Contra: - Includes Sci-Fi - More Action than Creepy

Both are shaping up to end their respected shows that began long ago with lots of twists and turns that make the experience a must-watch. Also, Higurashi and Evangelion share a lot of similarities in terms of being emotionally impactful.
