Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song

When highly evolved AIs set out to eradicate mankind, the carnage that ensues fills the air with the stench of fresh blood and burning bodies. In a desperate bid to prevent the calamity from ever occurring, a scientist bets everything on a remnant from the past.

Turning the clock back a hundred years, AIs are already an integral part of human society, programmed with specific missions meant to be carried out for their entire course of operation. Vivy, the first ever autonomous AI, is a songstress tasked with spreading happiness through her voice. In a theme park where she hardly ever gets a proper audience, she strives to pour her heart out into her performances, bound to repeat it day after day—that is, until an advanced AI from the future appears before her and enlists her help in stopping a devastating war a hundred years in the making. With no time to process the revelation that flips her world upside down, Vivy is catapulted into a century-long journey to avert the violent history yet to come.

An excellent anime for me i loved Diva oh sorry Vivy and ofcourse Matsumoto i loved each and every character.

This anime really warned us about AI like telling us how dependency can cause an unchangeable damage.The songs in this anime were just beautiful, storywriting,character writing, the art,everything about this anime was just beautiful. Each and every episode had such a beautiful story relatable characters and a lot more.This was such a joyful ride I completed this anime on the 1st of Jan i hope this year will be just as beautiful as this anime.

A very good anime i will really recommend it to anyone ... who is reading this review right now you should really give it a watch.

Mixed Feelings

5.75/10 ~ Great show to turn the brain off to watch Hatsune Miku with gunz

It is not surprise that this show is "what if Miku but in the world of Terminator". The show has great visuals and strangely enough even though the story claims its trying to be music show with idols and what not, it has surprisingly good fight scenes and quite decent fight choreography. The show also asks the question of what does it mean to be alive, what does it mean to be human, to have humanity and is ones purpose better or worse then someone else's'?

The show doesnt do ... quite a great job at any of those questions except life's purpose, I would argue that it actually asks that question pretty well.

Now the show has pretty bad:
- pacing
- plot holes
- very poor world building
- next to no character development
- story is not deep
- post credit end scene ruins the ending (Imo)

But hey, cute girls with gunz is why we are here, I kinda wish they made her look more like Miku lol

All that being said I did enjoy the show enough to watch it all the way through, I am not someone shy or strong enough to not throw bad shows away. I would say this is 100% skippable as 'Cute Girls with gunz' is slowly but surely turning into a trope, and the introspection of AI and what is actually humanity question was done best by many other media such as Ghost in the Shell, Ergo Proxy and so many others. I would say this show is about in line with Solo leveling season 1 if that means anything to you.

"Bad writing is masked by great production" is the definition for this show.

When I watched the first Vivy 2 episodes I feel it's great. The design of the sci-fi world that is rare in anime and the heroine's character design like Vivy is awesome, reminds me of Violet Evergarden. But after that, the story wasn't that good at all.

Vivy's writing is filled with plot holes and sick logic of the characters. There are various crazy concepts such as Humans marry AI?, AI kills themselves? AI takes over the world? Of course, if you don't think about it, it will be normal. But if you think ... about it, this idea is very retarded. Every time I see humans in this story, I tend to think that they have no brains and deserve to be destroyed by their own AI.

Good world design turned out to be a major weakness because the story never explored the setting within the world. We don't even understand what the real state of society would be like when it came to the era when humans created AI to work for themselves. Therefore, there are many questions that cannot be explained rationally.

The plot is divided into arcs. In each arc there are about 2 to 3 chapters telling the main character in that arc. But the narrative is so rushed every now and then that all the characters are cut off so quickly and you'll forget about them at the end of the episode.

I don't recommend that you watch this show if you want a sensible and deep story. But if you want great art and brain-free fun. I would highly recommend it, but for me, I hate this show because it's too stupid for me to enjoy its stupidity.

(Additional: The ending was terrible. Very predictable, extremely rushed, stupid and boring.)
