A selective group of people are given supernatural powers to fight each other to the death in the hopes of becoming the next God. Overall, if you enjoy battle royale type stories you may enjoy both of these series.

As you may know Platium End is writen by Obata, Takeshi and the manga is drawn by Ohba, Tsugumi. The same two who created arguably one of the best animes ever, Death Note. As for the anime Platinum End think about it as the reverse or inverse of Death Note. Light Yagami was given the Death Note and tried to instill himself as a god. As for Mirai Kakehashi, the MC of Platinum End, he was given powers by an angel but just wanted to live a normal life. Sadly though he found himself wound up in a competition competing for the title of "God".  read more

Similar situation when MCs are suddenly in life or death battle and have to use their intelligence and skill to survive

The story is not much different

Similar sort of plot where one protagonist is "chosen" although Hanakago wasn't really chosen just randomly. And both characters hope to make it to the top. Personally Darwin's Game is meh. But I think Platinums end will be the better of the two but check it out if you want.

-Both involving a cast of characters facing off against each other in a death game of who replaces God. -Both involve an MC with an "unfortunate" backstory -Both MCs start of as crybabies, but become stronger as the story progresses -Plot is actually similar in both shows...that's the main point

Another death game anime to fill your satisfaction towards the death game, or also known as battle royale centered anime. The characters here are forced to join the game with a price to get if they win, and death awaits if they lose the game. The characters are given some superpower abilities to help their journey surviving this death game they forcefully joined.

Death-game scenario. Platinum End was made by the creators of Death Note (which I haven't watched but that's how you know Platinum end is going to be good). The kinda difference would be that Tomodachi Game involves death GAMES specifically whereas Platinum End, it's all one competition to see who is the last to survive.

These two anime are so similar: 1) You would find a handsome male character who is obsessed with his younger sister and both get agitated when the sister has a bf. 2) In both anime, the first half are MUCH better than the second half. In fact, in Platinum End, the second half is MUCH slower than Blast of Tempest (which is already pretty slow). 3) Both anime involve super-nature elements yet with LOGICAL rules - this is what I LOVE about both anime. However, expect this logical element to only last for the first half of the anime (like the first 10-12 episodes or so). Personally,  read more

Death game, or some may call it battle royale, is the main plot point of these two show. Each characters are forced to join and are given unique superpowers to help their journey. These show are also has a duo of male and female main character, with one "aggressive" personality.

- Both MC must to survive from "battle royale" mode - Both have similar prize (for Fate Zero is Holy Grail and for Platinum End is becoming God) - Both MC have servant - Both have countdown (for Fate Zero is 269 hours, for Platinum End is 999 days - Both show have 2 cours

Gave me similar vibes cause something like death is there. One has corpse god and other has an angel or something.

Both are similar in terms of gore and blood. But mainly both share battle royale traits for a price.

Both warped and transformed their genre into an unbelievable masterpiece! Platinum End : not a normal battle royale Chou Yuu Sekai : not a normal action game

Same authors, but a really different type of story.

This might not even be too simular but i have a feeling that some of you people would enjoy both of these anime. Both have intrecate ideas on (how i would call it) a "different" or "Higher" Society that co-exists with regular humanity. Both have interesting character design

Both are play or die type stories where the mc is placed in a high stakes death game where they must survive and can face instant death at any moment.

Similar concept of a few individuals gaining supernatural helpers and powers and then fighting each other for a reward (Holy Grail/becoming God). And the main character is a high schooler.
