Similar art style and similar energy. MCs are both isekai'ed into their new worlds and are raised with a pure personality (i.e. they're not creeps). They both retain their memories so they're too OP with their ideas of modern tech, but they still grow a lot as they get more familiar with the new world. No need for Shokugeki no Soma because they got cooking skills and waifus in this show too.

Both teachers are so similar, up to the third episode, this anime is quite similar to Seirei Gensouki.

The same style of reincarnation (from nothing to hot badass), when the main character is surrounded by beautiful girls. When watching, you feel like you could experience the same thing, so you get into it beautifully and wish it to be true.

Being both isekai series where the main characters get reincarnated and hold their memories of the past life in Japan, another similarity I find is the story pacing thus far. Also both main characters are more skilled in magic than the rest of the cast and they end up adventuring around various places of the new world.

Protagonist reincarnates into a fantasy world in Seirei Gensouki while the shield hero is summoned into it. They both receive harsh treatment from the people in power and their peers, thus, banishing the protagonists to go on their own journey, and meet various people who ultimately joins them on their journey.

Both are isekai were our black hair protagonist gets belittled due to his social status, and finds his redemption by being the most overpowered character among those we know, also both in some point of the story our protagonists save a brown hair beast girl from slavery, and now they are eternally grateful with our protagonists, they become their new slaves

Similarities on MCs:
- Both MC are underestimated / hated / heavily criticized early on the show (for different reasons)
- both MC experienced trauma explained early on the show and thus developed appearing unaffected or stoic to peers and strangers in order to emotionally protect themselves
- both MC became gradually OP through time and motivated through anger and frustration
- both MC gathering a harem like it's no one's business (well, this is an isekai anime what do we expect)
- both MC (while unconsciously gathering a harem) truly respects the women around him and wishes to protect them, while not being misogynistic about it (hallelujah!)

Similarities on overall show premise:
- both isekai
- set in a fantasy world where several people were summoned from Japan (Seirei Gensouki summoned people at different times, while Tate no Yuusha summoned four people in one go)

Main differences:
- Naofumi (Tate no Yuusha MC) was summoned to fight world-threat events. Thus his summoning was random, sudden, and upon being summoned, people around him generally explained why he was there.
- Haruto (Seirei Gensouki MC) was more reincarnated than summoned. Upon dying, Haruto was reincarnated to a 7 year old orphan, Rio. Thus there are like two souls inside Rio's body (although the show doesn't really explain it that way) who has complete recollection of everything that happened in their lives, both as pre-reincarnation and post-reincarnation.
- Seirei Gensouki also doesn't explain why the hell are people isekai-ed (at least not in the anime). There are also different ways of isekai-ng, through reincarnation upon dying, and through summoning.  read more

Kenja no Mago addpermalink

Both MCs are isekai'd into a medieval fantasy world after dying in a car crash. Shortly thereafter, there's a time skip, after which they both enroll in a magic academy. Using the knowledge of their previous lives, they become quite successful and unusually powerful. To their misfortune, other children of high-ranking nobles also enroll in their academy, causing them problems. While the series progresses, they both find themselves fighting monsters, knights, and various other enemies. There's also a bit of romance in both series, but it's not the main focus.

The most notable differences are, that the MC from "Spirit Chronicles" is the fusion of a boy that grew up in the fantasy world and another boy, who died in our modern world. Therefore, he has two past identities, which is very important for the story. Additionally, he leaves the magic academy at the beginning of the series and adventures, whereas in the anime "Wise Man's Grandchild", the MC stays in the academy for the entirety of the series.

They definitely got the same vibe to it, and if you enjoyed watching "Wise Man's Grandchild" or "Spirit Chronicles", and are curious about the other serious, I can strongly affirm you, that you will be likely to be enjoying the other series too.  read more

The main MC has been reincarnated into a world or magic and military and is seen as very powerful. Also they both have these generic isekai moments that are cringy to watch. The girls rely on the male mc a lot.

Both shows are similar especially the spirit part, both MCs have these spirits living inside their bodies giving them extra power, both of them have common hair color, both of them are OP. And both MCs have different situations on how they end up in another world in which the bus in Haruto was in got crushed by the train while Taichi & Rin gets transported in another world. 

But what's different about these two shows is that Seirei Gensouki has an interesting plot, but some scenes are sometimes cliche and generic but as for Isekai Cheat Magician, a really generic show where they have a similar plot to other isekai series.

If you like this series, I think you should check out Isekai Cheat Magician and other isekais similar to this as well. read more

Both anime have spirits art, Spirit Girl sleeping naked, both have harem!
The world building is little different though, seirei gensouki is isekai while blade dance is fantasy!

Sickening OP main character who is technically not on their first life. They're OP to the point of overkill - and it kind of kills the plot a little (it's hard to get immersed given the lack of character development), but the show in general is not unpleasant to watch if you can accept harems. It's a lighthearted, low priority watch, but with fairly enjoyable art style. VAs and music are great as well. B-tier show, but A- -tier execution.

Both are fantasy stories, with protagonists who are weak at the beginning and develop over time and also show the characters' daily lives. Serei is more dramatic in its context.

Seirei Gensouki is a little better than Level 1, it's not anything beyond average or anything like that, it's actually a bit generic, but it's better developed, lively and more consistent. So, if you come from Level 1, I believe you will like Seirei Gensouki, but if you come from Seirei, expect a lower level.

Seirei Gensouki tells the story of a male protagonist who was exploited and lived in the slums of a kingdom, but who ends up meeting someone from royalty who, over time, gives him an opportunity and with that he ends up developing and even going after of romantic interest.

In this case, Seirei Gensouki is made by TMS Entertainment, which is a studio that has already produced well-reviewed classics/oldies such as Lupine and Detective Conan, but which has also been producing very good works such as Fruits Basket, Dr.Stone and Nagatoro, but in case If you pick up the most recent ones, you'll see a lot of generic and below-average anime, that is, it's a Studio that doesn't have a consistency, it basically produces several works, those with greater investment will have a better production, but in general it's currently average to low, apart from something comes with a lot of investment. I don't even like Dr.Stone's static animation.

In this case, Level 1 is made by Ｍaho Film, which is also an average to low studio, it made a little more works, but the majority are average to low, its biggest highlight being Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko() and Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai(If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord) and Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita(I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss)

Ambos são histórias de fantasia, com protagonistas que são fracos no início e vão se desenvolvendo com o tempo e  que tbm vão mostrando o dia a dia dos personagens. Serei é mais dramático em seu contexto.

Seirei Gensouki é um pouco melhor que Level 1, não é algo além da média ou algo do tipo, na verdade é meio genérico, mas é mais bem desenvolvimento, animado e mais consistente. Então, se veio de Level 1, acredito que vá gostar de Seirei Gensouki, mas caso venha de Seirei, espere um patamar mais abaixo.

Seirei Gensouki conta a história de um protagonista masculino que era explorado e morava nas favelas de um reino, mas que acaba encontrando alguém da realeza que com o passar do tempo vai dando uma oportunidade para ele e com isso ele acaba se desenvolvendo e até indo atrás de um interesse romântico.

No caso, o Seirei Gensouki é feito pela TMS Entertainment, que é um estúdio que já produziu clássicos/antigas bem avaliados como Lupin e Detective Conan, mas que tbm vem produzindo obras muito boas como Fruits Basket, Dr.Stone e Nagatoro mas caso for pegar os mais recentes mesmo verá muitos animes genéricos e abaixo da média, ou seja, é um Estúdio que  não tem uma constância, basicamente produz diversas obras, aquelas com maior investimento terá uma produção melhor, mas no geral atualmente é mediano pra baixo tirando se algo vier com muito investimento. Inclusive não gosto da animação estática de Dr.Stone.

No caso, Level 1 o é feito pelo Ｍaho Film, que tbm é um estúdio de mediano pra baixo, fez um pouco mais de obras, mas a maioria é mediana pra baixo, seu maior destaque seja Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko() e Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai(If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord) e Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita(I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss) read more
