Two examples of death game genre with unusual power systems and bizarre characters. Each series has a plot that goes in all sorts of strange and unpredictable directions. Try it if you want the same kind of dumb fun and absurd amounts of fanservice.

This show doesn’t feel like it belongs to the 2021 winter season, This show reminded me more of shows like Highschool of the Dead. If you like the whole feel of those kinda shows you’ll probably like this one. Horror aesthetics with no actual horror, basically just some dumb fun with lots of ecchi.

Darwin's Game is like high rise invasion because.... !. They both are kinda like the hunger game. 2. there mostly similar because darwin's game and high rise invasion focused on more of winning something. 3. they both gain allies 4. they both are dragged in something (P.S Tenkuu Shinpan has more blood)

Both series feel very similar. People are teleported to what seems to be a different world and must fight for their survival. They both don't hold back on violence and it's pretty intense.

Tenkuu Shinpan is basically Btooom! with masks. Both of them are about a battle royal death game created by a higher power with an ulterior motive, the location just differs (island vs. skyscraper world). Both protagonists plan to overthrow a helicopter to save as many participants as possible, even though the game only allows a single survivor.

Similar theme: Action, Gore, Blood, Killing and they have a Psychological element as well. Both main characters (Yuri Honjo and Kei Kurono) get trapped in another world, which has been set up by a mysterious entity, with situations put their lives at risk, including enemies and deaths. High-Rise Invasion is more of a shonen style and supernatural powers, while Gantz has high tech weapons If you liked High-Rise Invasion then you will like Gantz too

In both stories the main characters are two young unrelated girls. They meet in a strange place and have to rely on each other to survive it's dangers. Otherside Picnic is similar to Roadside Picnic/STALKER with a focus on exploring highly dangerous and mysterious world filled with supernatural. It might look normal at first but anything is possible there and nothing is certain. The world of High-Rise Invasion is strange and confusing too but less bizarre and a lot of dangers are coming from people similar to main charactes

This series are a battle royale for a God-like power as a reward. The interesting thing in both is that the victory is decided mostly through making the right alliances and applying tactics rather than raw power, wich obviously gives an edge anyway.

Both shows consist of two main characters and some others trapped in some sort of alternate dimension where they try to find their way out and back into the real world but come across different 'obsticles' on their way.

Both anime are kind of about a game for survival where you have to kill to survive

The main character ends up in a world where he/she needs to survive and not be killed. A mysterious organization has a goal that they want the participants to achieve. The difference is that in High-rise invasion, some people can get brain-washed by computer programs that control their mind but also enhance their abilities to fight and use weapons while in Battle in 5 seconds of meeting, the participants have unique supernatural powers they have acquired at the beginning of the battle royale game.

Both characters appear in a new world and they're not sure how they got there and people show up trying to kill them
