they are both america/japan anime. heroman is made with the help of Stan Lee, and east of eden is alike to Robert Ludlum novel

Both are charming throwbacks to classic superhero Saturday morning cartoons. While Tiger&Bunny uses clever satires with the theme of superheroes, Heroman is more basic with the whole premise.

The weak main character that finds a super robot, which becomes more powerful when it needs. In both the character develops and becomes stronger, but in Gurren Lagann there's the second part of the anime, which is too good to be compared to the pro-american Heroman.

Orphan boy? Check. Giant robot? Check. Wrist Controller? Check. Both shows have some glaringly obvious similarities, but the mentality behind them is very different (one Eastern, with shades of old wuxia tales, the other Western, with all of the comic book hallmarks) Of the two, Giant Robo: The Day The Earth Stood Still is easily the better show, but Heroman is still worth watching as it's entertaining enough in its own way.

The anime version of the Megaman Starforce game, this series shares many similarities with Heroman in that 1-Both series' main protagonists are underdogs and are mistreated by their fellow classmates 2-Both main protagonists are dreamers who what to become like their missing fathers (Joey wants to be a hero like he viewed his dad and Geo wants to go to space like his father did) 3- Both come across super powered beings (Heroman and Omega-Xis) and learn to become heroes with their help. 4- In the two series, the world is attacked by aliens (Skrugg and FMians) 5- Joey and Geo are both supported by a range of varying allies 6-They  read more

Both Heroman and Star Driver are optimistic mecha shows with an enemy-of-the-week format (usually aliens for Heroman and high schoolers in ridiculous outfits in Star Driver) and magical boy elements, and are both animated by Studio Bones. Star Driver has a little more depth, complexity, and sexual themes, but both shows are very idealistic.

The same character in both anime is only an alien. I don't know that their producer like to put this character into it. But, I still enjoyed this anime.

The relationship between Matty and Lurie and Joey and Lina are like so similar. Both like each other and shy in feelings, shy to take lead in confessing, MC grows together with the girl while also wielding the power he has to also look after her. Similar characteristics like soft face and voice for MC and appearance of the CUTE GIRLS, Cute hair (also blond) see the eyes (color and shape). Watch one and the other and if you want more of the other, BUT I love both anime based on what I see, not just because they are similar.

A boy receives a power like no other and is suddenly thrust into a world of chaos?

The protagonist has electric powers. It takes place in America. Both are careful about being caught by the Government. Super Crooks has super villains that loves their power to do crime and hate going to prison. Heroman has a kind hearted superhero who would use his power to help people, even when false allegations are made against him.

Both are mech shows by famous authors. Nagai was inspired by western designs. Both Heroman and Shin Mazinger aired around the same time of year, one in 2009 and the other in 2010. They both have a lengthy opening arc and neither of them are episodic in any way.

Protagonist are alike. Both share a willing to become stronger, and then they are involved with someone(or something) who will change their life.

Heroman is an modern interpretation of Gigantor/Tetsujin-28. It's about a teen who remote controls a giant robot. In the case of Gigantor is via a control box and Heroman by a wrist control. Also in both series, they were out to save the world. Gigantor was the typical superhero vs. spies, evil organizations while Heroman first storyarc is to save the world from an invasion of alien cockroches known as Kruggs. Both series were also created by men who were giants their respective fields: Stan Lee of Marvel Comics fame and Mitsuteru Yokoyama who was influenced and even hired by Osamu Tezuka.

Same American feeling (stronger on Heroman, but still). They're about a boy with a technological partner who fights against computer viruses (on Rockman.EXE) or aliens (Heroman). Both are intended for young audience.

Westernized, stylish teen superhero show where the kid has a giant silent robot companion.

420 - Big white avatars/robots, fighting together reluctantly brave heroes. Invasions, military, explosions, "alien" possession, and teenagers. Except Xam'd has the hero in complete sync with the avatar in some Steampunk reality, while Heroman has the hero working along side the avatar/robot in modern day California.

Both feature a young protagonist with a very limited wardrobe and a powerful partner whom they support via a small handheld device. Also, they both offer relatively light-hearted Saturday-morning-style action.

Both started out as an adventure with the lead character fighting weekly monsters but eventually became a hero's emotional journey culminating in a final battle with the hidden enemy at a major metropolitan capital city.

Both are coming-of-age stories of a boy with his partner robot.
