Both sequels switch from an action focused season 1 to a far slower paced season 2 about coming to terms with past actions & mistakes. Focusing far more on the individual characters instead.

Both have the same airing date and the same sport plot, except the settings were different, cu'z one is set in some dystopian future where the MC live in poverty and only through boxing is his only bread and butter, While the other one is se during Roman times and boxing for the MC's a matter of Life or death , where victory equates to freedom while failure is to die.

Both are very similar but eventually off in different directions. Both are tales of redemption and dealing with PTSD and trauma. Both are beautiful stories about a guy named Joe.

These two anime hold many similarities and also many differences but are both worth the watch. Baki for it's realistic fighting scenes and mixing in relationship issues with friends, lovers, and family. And megalo box for it's fighting where it really feels like the characters are dealing with deep emotional trauma. The writing and story's are very different but they are both boxing animes worth checking out.

Both series use sports as a vehicle to tell a beautiful and captivating story for its characters rather than have the sport as the main focus. Both series highlight the personal growth of its characters as a result of the sport each story revolves around.

Both highlight the story of a broken man who tries to deal with his past. Both are not needed yet welcome additions to their original story that add a whole new layer to that said story. and they both have a TOP tier soundtracks. Keep in mind though, while steins;gate 0 is a flawed adaptation that does as many things wrong as it does right, Nomad is a near perfect sequel that is even better than the first season of megalo box.

The crass environment, the realistic portrayal of violence and suffering, the Latino-american setting, the nomadic lifestyle and the driving of a motorcycle are all things that make these anime similar.

(This recommendation is mostly for the No Longer Human part of Aoi Bungaku Series) In both, the protagonist deals with a grief/psychological troubles and gets addicted to drugs/"medicine", an addiction which makes him spiral further into despair, althrough some other characters are trying to help him.
