Because they are both a good mood, light-hearted, CGDCT-type sports anime, featuring high school girls' baseball.  

Both have the same story plot where it involves one girl who quits the sport back in middle school only to be drafted back into through a childhood friend in High School... 

Similarities: - An all girls sports club. - One girl with very special talent. - The training that them girls having to do to get to the top. Dissimilarities: Tamayomi -Involves more member. -Story plot where the school's baseball club was facing disbandment, when a group of 1st years decides to revive it. -Character focuses mostly on 2 specific members. Iwa Kakaeru -One girl with special skill joins up with a club where physical strength is required. -It only has a 4 girl member. - Artwise, female characters were too macular.  

Friends ! Sports! Struggling! Both the anime series has a similarity of team spirit and their struggle with the surrounding and itself. 

You wanna search some girls doing some sports activity? These twos had your interest. In pretty same theme. A bunch of cute schooler girls, doing some sport archetype with so much cute moment, and boom, its over! While GuP bring more thrill hype because of the Tank type action they had. Tamayomi gave more chilling moment with their cuteness with their pitch and bat some balls. The plot for those twos had similar way of flawness. The girl - looking club - she get it - join the club, search more member, do cute thing, repeat - enter some tournament - and win. The vibes when finishing the tournament was all same, the drama winning over that cuteness. Unfortunately, GuP had more amazing art design of cuteness comparing to Tamayomi, such a shame. But, its still your choice to give more chance to Tamayomi to improve and give a chance to watch it in fully motion. Thats it.  read more

Similarities: 1. the same sport genre where it involves a girl who quits the sport only to find herself being drafted back into it. 2. the same possible yuri, where there this subtle romance between girls. 3. The same school setting. Dissimilarities: 1. One has the full yuri where it involves lots of skinship, while the other has a more subtle one. 2. One has that unrealistic kind of sport, while the other has the kind of sport in real life. 3. One has all the member participating while the other one only involves two of them.  

Both involves a club that was about o be disbanded when a group of 1st years decided to save it.  

Same sport, only with boys, and protagonist wants to become a pro, the series revolve around him becoming one step by step detailed. Ace expects you to know about baseball tho (at least that is the impression that I got). 

Both anime are about girls playing baseball. 

Both are about baseball. Showing the building of a team and learning about each new member as well as their growing skills. With the main goal to play/win in a nationals setting. Princess Nine also has a romantic element to it that helps drive the character growth.  

Both about about a game, eventhough saki has more magical element to it, while tamayomi is pure muscle. Both have yuri subtext, and both just abruptly end in the middle of tourney. Both have same tense moment in betweeen the action, because both game is turn based, both anime has a good time on calculating and making strategy based on unique abilities of each individual. Both anime feel really slow that the whole anime only cover a miniscule amount of game. I have a good time watching both, after all, its an all girls anime when 1 all girls school fighting other all girls school, what not to enjoy? read more
