There's no denying that number24 was inspired from Free - much like an increasing number of modern sports anime. Both shows are tagged as sports anime, but more focus is given on the growth and development of the characters - both individually, as well as in relation to others. The creators of both the shows were smart enough to drop hints of ships, but to not make anything gay, so that they could keep both sides of their audiences - the boys as well as the girls.

Both anime series will tell you about sportsmanship; the gameplay which you have never been told or known.

Friends ! Sports! Struggling! Both the anime series has a similarity of team spirit and their struggle with the surrounding and itself.

They both have the feel of a great group of friends having their ups and downs. Just like normal group friends would have in real life.

Both are sports anime. I don't know why, but I just feel that if you like "Bakuten" you will like "Number 24".

Both shows tend to focus on more about the lives of the characters, with the Sport aspect being used to drive the plot. They both also contain well-done drama about the pasts of some of the important characters. Both shows as well have various moments of yaoi-bait depending on how one interprets them

Really similar cute boys doing sports show - but in both shows only the core cast is interesting. If you want another easy to digest show this is it :)

Similar to Number 24 in sport wise but the story line is just 10/10 I wish there was another season this anime is so under rated and wasn't appreciated enough since it was out shined by Yuri on ice since they had a released right around the same time.

if you're into the type of main character who: - has irreversible injury but is hopelessly in love with a sport he can never do again - is the team's mother and coach - radiates sly bastard energy lol
