A loose recommendation as both are magical girls with a space theme, including aliens and a damaged space ship. 

Magical girls exploring space and fighting bad guys sound like your thing? Then Star Twinkle Precure and AKB0048 will both be up your alley! Both feature a small group of passionate girls with unique personalities and a habit of getting themselves into sticky situations. AKB0048 has unique idol and post-apocalyptic elements, whereas StarTwinkle is a much more lighthearted, traditional style of magical girl series. 

If you're looking for a magical girl anime with a love of artwork, imagination, and colour, Star Twinkle Pretty Cure and Balala Over The Rainbow are going to delight. Each series follows its magical girls as they explore another universe - while STP focuses on aliens and space, B:OTR prefers magic creatures in fairyland - with a very slapstick style of humour. STP is arguably more mature about it than B:OTR but both are family friendly affairs! 

Sailor Moon and Star Twinkle PreCure are two magical girl TV shows that follow a female protagonist who gains magical powers after meeting a cute magical creature. Both shows are also themed around space, with each of the main magical girls having names themed around planets, stars, and other heavenly bodies found in space. 

Children's anime with space travels. Saikyou Ginga has various Magical Girl/Boy-style transformations too 

Both are space themed magical girl series. Although Creamy Mami has idol elements thrown in too. I think people who love Star Twinkle Precure will find similar enjoyment in Creamy Mami.  

While both offer a sci-fi magical girl adventure where they travel to various locations collecting items for a specific intent, what makes these series similar to me is the art. Both are vividly colorful to an extraordinary amount. Flip Flappers tackles more serious themes while Star Twinkle is lighthearted and comedic. The sci-fi element from Flip Flappers comes from the characters going to the parallel dimension of Pure Illusion while in Star Twinkle, the characters are quite literally going to outer space. Both are solid series if you enjoy magical girls, imagination, and lots of colors. 

Ojamajo Doremi and Star Twinkle PreCure are two magical girl shows made by TOEI Animation that follow a pink-haired female protagonist as they gain magical powers. The protagonists of both shows, Doremi and Hikaru, are peppy and enthusiastic about having said magical powers. Both shows are targeted to girls of all ages.
