Recommendations

The easiest and most obvious recommendation ever. Ocean, shipgirls, lewdness, battles, slice of life. You'll find plenty of them in both anime.

Assault Lily and Azur Lane have somehow a similar lore. Group of girls that fight together as the last stand of humanity against "sci-fi" monsters/enemies. The methods they use is also pretty similar - while the shipgirls at Azur Lane use typical warships guns such as planes, torpedos and other naval guns, and the Lillies at Assault Lilly use their CHARMs, the way the weapons are used are also a bit similar.

Recreation of World War 2 battles through cast of cute girls in a sort of school. If you're a fan of both military and moe, you'll probably like these.

Anime adaptations of quiet familiar anime mobilegames. however I must say that Girls (Dolls) Frontline is more authentic to game's lore and the story telling is more on better level comparing with Azur Lane.

Both are raunchy video game adaptions with bizarre action. They appeal to exactly the same audience.

The point is the same. Betwen anime same from game to apply anime film. And they are characters liked by gamers . Eventhough different from setting of the story. But the same the theme of the story is a war

Both animes that are centered around girls who are also war machines in human forme (ships in Azur Lane vs planes in Girly Air Force).

Similar themes of ships who have been resurrected as girls. There are a trifecta of these series, Azur Lane, Arpeggio, and KanColle. Arpeggio concentrates on philosophical issues, KanColle on action, and AZ a mix of the two.

Both are based on popular video game series with high stakes action and a cast of colorful characters.

The atmosphere is similar, lots of yuri content and epic battles with the girls.

Both are anime based on games, Onigiri is however mini series meanwhile Azur Lane is made into full length anime series. Girls are main characters. They both don't only focus on battles but also into character relationships. alsosomefanservicescenes

hehehehe the truth is that the love of the Japanese for underage girls aboard ships or representing anthropomorphic ships is typical of their postmodernist military culture, either because Japan is an island and needs that connection of protection with the sea or because it was one of the naval military potentials that rivaled the British Empire ... love, sea, kanmusume, schoolgirls, sailors and love... are a fetish of Japan that distinguishes it over other nations with the same social, geographical and social-historical characteristics!

Cute girls transform and fight stuff. Enormous amounts of fan service and action. A mecha flare. BANG BANG BAM *butt shot* TATATATATATATATA *boob shot* BOOM

Both of them have no plots at all. They have good memes and cute characters but that's all. Both of the series are full of nonsenses and characters can do whatever they want. They both have OP female main protagonists that can do anything and make the others seem useless.
