Violet Evergarden Movie

Violet's journey from soldier to writer is incredible. Her struggles to understand emotions and find purpose really resonated with me. And the supporting cast? Amazing! Gilbert's gentle guidance and Cattleya's sassiness added so much depth.

The animation? Gorgeous! Kyoto Animation's attention to detail transported me to Telesis. Every frame, every color choice, every expression felt deliberate and stunning made me shed a tear.

What really stands out, though, is how thoughtfully Violet explores human emotions. It tackles tough themes like grief, trauma, and the power of words without holding back.

Favorite Part- Violet's character growth and those poignant letters she writes I just loved it.

I have recently watched Violet Evergarden Anime the series as a whole was very good it had a lot of sentimentality a lot of heartfelt and sad moments so seeing that the sequel movie has even higher scores than the anime I went it expecting a lot but it really fell flat and it is kinda a bummer that it did. The character development of Gilbert is super questionable and the movie even plays out the "I can't be with you and go away" cliche which was something I never expected to see happen with this story. The Good part is related to the girl ... and the kid in the hospital those parts truly felt like they were indeed a good successor to the anime stories we all saw and maybe even cried watching. Due to heavy spoilers I will not make further comments on why the story fell flat it speaks for itself when you analyze things.

Music, Art/Animation is top notch really not much to say there the major problems and why I gave it a score like the one I did is related to how unimpressive the actual story has gotten.

If you are looking to still watch beware in this particular scenario the scores are way way higher than and personally I might have been misled by them.

this film is a continuation of a tv show that I held dearly in my heart, to see it ruined I just had to vent about my frustration for this film. so we had violet coming to terms with the major's "death" at the end of the tv show, just for the movie to regress everything back in terms of violet's development and resolution to serve a contrived romantic plot that is without a doubt problematic at best. only good thing about this movie (kyoani's strength) is its realistic(?) artstyle, superb animation and voice acting, which had the least of my attention tbh when this ... film features a pedophile as the main lead. I was surprised at the overwhelming positive responses this film had despite its not only problematic values but also its lackluster continuation for its female lead's character development that was tossed aside for such a shithole of a story. upon finishing this film, I was beyond disappointed and annoyed at how so many just brush aside its clearly problematic relationship when it is in fact the face of this film.

i love the tv show but this movie aint canon in my heart and i wish that pedophile woulda stayed dead 💔
