Piano no Mori (TV)

Both Anime have beautiful music. Both Anime have lovable characters. Both Anime inspires you to follow your dream no matter your situation and where you come from. Both Anime teaches you that one person can make a difference in another person's life. Healthy Rivalry is Good. You cannot do everything alone. 

- Both are about classical music. - Characters grow up and mature in both shows. - Centered around piano as the main instrument, although Nodame Cantabile has a more wide array of charaters who play different instruments.  

Both series deal with music, and a character's urge to better their abilities in order to honour someone important to them. Both main characters go from knowing nothing about their instruments to being ble to play them well across the series. The young male characters are easy for audience members to find themselves reflected in.  

-both have a child prodigy -friend/rival -a connection to a popular character in their professions -competition -internal struggle -struggle with fitting in -struggle with family -light-hearted and can be heavy at the same time 

Both are dramatic shows that center around music, the relationships one has with fellow musicians, and the process of growing older and coming of age. Both are bittersweet but uplifting musical anime that will tug at your heartstrings. 

Both stories make you appreciate a type of art, which is painting for Blue Period and classical music/piano for Piano no Mori. They both have a small but well made cast of characters and extremely passionate MC's, even though Piano much more global, in that the MC wants to show the world his piano style, while the MC of blue period is still at the beginning of his passion. 

Main character is very talented , you can hear some good damn classical music here. But talent isn't all you need in order to win competitions, especially when opponents practice to be the best.  

These are to animes that don't just talk about music, but put it in a sentimental way. In both of them we see characters that even with a hard and sad life, found a happiness in there lifes, find a way to show there fellings, throw music. We have a poor child that live's in a poor town, with almost no family, and a girl that loose the hability to speak, but wanted more than everything to say her feelings, and when they discover the world of music, they finally find the so wanted happiness. The only thing that's similar is the classical music attribution. Still, check it out if you're into classical piano pieces. 

A lot of ways are similar. -The feeling of the sound they make -Their reaction and reason to play makes it similar to each other -Both anime can turn the whole stadium into a different place just because of the sound -Feeling of unease, self-problem and the purpose of playing is the same 

The main storyline of Piano no Mori and Mashiro no Oto is the growth of the main characters as musicians. Kai and (Piano no Mori) and Setsu (Mashiro no Oto) have always been satisfied with playing their music without an audience. A day comes when Kai and Setsu are forced to confront their attitudes toward music. This is the start of their journey to understand themselves and music. Both series are good coming of age stories with an emphasis on music.  

Rivalry between two boys where one is going for being professional while the other one is just somehow remarkably very good at what they are competing against with. I think if you liked one, you should try the other out, too. 

An important aspect of these series is the relationship between a mentor and student. Kai (Piano no Mori) was satisfied with playing piano for himself until his mentor shows him that there is so much more to learn from the piano. Minato (Tsurune) had resigned himself from never practicing archery again after losing his self-confidence. A chance encounter with his mentor inspires him to pick up archery again and begin recovering his confidence. These mentors do not simply teach, but challenge their students to find their own answers and discover new depth for their passions. Shounen sports anime often overshadow other types of anime with competitions. Chihayafuru and Piano no Mori are engaging series showcasing competitive karuta and piano competition. The main characters in each series have different personalities and character arcs, but they all experience excitement, difficulties, inflection points as the story progress. Rivalry between friends is an important aspect of both series. Chihayafuru has a more fleshed out cast of supporting characters compared to Piano no Mori.  

Kai (Piano no Mori) and Yuri (Yuri!!! on Ice) are very different characters, but are shaped by their relationships with their mentors and rivals. Although Kai is a naturally gifted and confident pianist, his mentor helps him to unlock his full potential and introduces him to piano competitions. Yuri is an aging figure skater with anxiety problems, but his new coach unlocks his artistry and confidence. They are also greatly shaped by their admiration for their rivals - Yuri Plisetsky (Yuri!!! on Ice) and Shuuhei Amamiya (Piano no Mori). If these elements are the aspects that you enjoyed then you should consider this recommendation.  

Dance Dance Danseur and Piano no Mori follow similar narrative structures. Kai (Piano no Mori) and Junpei (Dance Dance Danseur) are outsiders who enter the world of piano competition and classical ballet. As untrained individuals with innate talent, they must learn the basics and overcome their frustration over the perceived restrictions placed on them. With the help of their teachers and rivals, Kai and Junpei might just succeed in becoming an accomplished pianist and ballet dancer.
