I have spotted lots of similarities. Firstly, main blond, sexy woman charakter, confindent with cold, powerful look in her eyes as Aika. Bridgette L. Satellizer has special abilities and you see it at once, that she is superior to other female characters, has the greates strenght. Secondly, we meet lots of girls in the same school uniforms fighting. Moreover and the most important characteristing point is, that you can see their panties most of the time, almost all the time in different positions. 

Both are on the teasing side, technically well made anime, in a mild Sci-Fi setting, with sexy female characters. being the main reason to watch. Both clearly value eye candy over story and character development.

Girls or young women running around in useless costums and lingerie? check! Bad story? check! Women doing things that aren't natural for women to do like being physically and emotionally strong, gutsy, doing stunts that are impossible even for a man, while acting macho? check! Splashy action scenes? check! Lots of weird or make-believe vehicles? check! Lame humor? check! Overly simplified art? check! Overly emphasized buttcracks and nipples? check! A catastrophic event leaving most of Earth under water? check! Women walking down the street half naked and wearing extremely provactive clothing while at work on a daily basis? check! Both shows are fully selfaware and more of a parody of their respective times anime trends and tropes. Also, Hagen and Embryo are basically the same charackter. An over the top narcisist, who, if he whould act any hamier, whould be in the way to a butcher at the end of the show to be turned into delicious... well... ham. And the actual reason why they want to destroy the world is exacly the same.
