Kenja no Mago

In the kingdom of Earlshide, Merlin Wolford was once regarded as a national hero, hailed for both his power and achievements. Preferring a quiet life however, he secludes himself deep in the rural woods, dedicating his time to raising an orphan that he saved. This orphan is Shin, a normal salaryman in modern-day Japan who was reincarnated into Merlin's world while still retaining his past memories. As the years pass, Shin displays unparalleled talent in both magic casting and martial arts, much to Merlin's constant amazement.

On his 15th birthday, however, it becomes apparent that Shin only developed his combat skills and nothing else, leaving him with blatant social awkwardness, a lack of common sense, and a middling sense of responsibility. As a result, Shin enrolls in the kingdom's Magic Academy to hone his skills and mature among other teenagers. However, living a normal life is impossible, as he is established as a local celebrity almost as soon as he arrives.

As Shin Wolford adjusts to his high school life in the capital, he makes new friends, learns about the world, and fights off the various forces of evil surrounding him and his city.

Kenja no mago (wise man grandchild) In terms of story, it's quite familiar, where a character dies in an accident and then gets thrown into an isekai and has very OP powers. and also the action feels quite bland. but in terms of character depiction it is quite entertaining to the eye where my waifu is Sicily haha. and also in terms of storyline where here we are explained that Shin the MC already has quite a big name where he is the grandson of a wise man and also the grandson of a royal wizard who has caused a stir throughout the kingdom with ... that name at the beginning of the episode. I gave it an additional ++ because it has romantic spices which really make me diabetic hahah I think 8/10 is the right score for this anime that's all

Mixed Feelings

I have never been this type of person. The one to say, " Read the manga." Mostly because I didn't really read enough manga. However, after watching this show, I really wanted to read the manga so know what happens next. Well, after catching up with the manga, I had to re-score this adaptation. Like they really didn't do the manga justice at all. I believe season one covers the first 15 chapters but there is only like four chapters worth of information in this anime. I wouldn't be made except that this whole anime was rushed. ... Like Gus's attendence. In the mange, there's this whole thing about meeting them but in the anime, they just pop out of nowhere. Also, Shin's speech was cut right at the beginning but there is some actual good content in there that gets reference later in the world. I love anime and in all honesty, I don't want this anime to go away but I feel like they need to either redo season one and put some more time into it or let it be produced by another company.

This anime has nothing special or unique that you can't find anywhere else. The main character, Shin, is way too overpowered; his flaw is that he doesn't always get social conventions or whatever, but it's not even that big of a hindrance for him as a character. None of the friends have anything overly special about them and their characters don't grow personality-wise. One of the major settings is a school but no teaching by teachers ever takes place and it just seemed dumb to introduce it if you aren't going to use it for anything; seems like a waste. The lead girl has a ... shy and awkward thing going on but no personality is built outside of Shin. None of the friends have anything to them except for August but even his character isn't explored and he's just kinda the prince. The show has fanservice, but it's not special,just the usual omg These girls have tittys so let's point them out. The magic system is cool I guess but it's nothing overly unique, shins op and uses it super well with zero issues because the main character has to be super awesome or whatever and the friends struggle but end up learning super quickly even though Shin power is supposed to be so advanced even the best magic users can't do it. Nothing special, would not recommend.
