Characters must traverse different levels and complete"games" in order to continue their journey. The tests have something to do with characters' lives. Death is involved.

- Female protagonists - Bizarre cast of psychopathic characters - Focus on playing "games" to reach the top "level": for Angels of Death it's escaping the building while for Kakegurui it's taking over the school. - Similar themes of morality, contemplation of mental stability, etc. - Personally I prefer Kakegurui since it also has fantastic animation, music, and a much more enjoyable cast to follow! Also has a season 2 in case you're enjoying it and looking for more content.

Both are horror anime adaptations of horror RPG Maker games. Although to be fair, this Corpse Party anime more precisely is an adaptation of the PlayStation game that was based on the RPG Maker game, so not exactly. But it's still the closest you'll get to horror adaptations of RPG Maker games.

Ascend the floors of hell to see the unknown top, MC seems to be a bit cool and a bit of an oddball, but still human
report Recommended by Kaguyachinchin
Both are supernatural and both have a romantic relationship development. Both shows try to answer what makes someone human and both shows have strong character development. Satsuriku no Tenshi has more blood and violence though Noragami has some sensitive scenes too.

1. Similar heroes, even in appearance. This is a child and a guy in bandages. 2. Similar relationships between heroes. One is trying to understand who he is. The second learns that he needs the first. 3. Gloomy atmosphere. In Dororo, this is due to demons.
report Recommended by DollParanoid
Both have a very mysterious, psychological atmosphere to them as well as big plot twists and secrets that aren't revealed until the end. The animation is great, the plot is well-written and hooks you immediately, and there's plenty of dark humour and occasional gore for those who enjoy that.

Both have characters having to survive against multiple enemies, both have a smart MC who unknowingly loves to risk.

1. Both have a mc who has to adapt to newer more evil circumstances 2. HOT GUYS 3. They are both in the horror/ phycological genre 4. They are both good anime’s so please watch them :c
report Recommended by MagentaKat
Both Akari and Rachel shares the same goal, to be killed by their respective partners.
report Recommended by ThomasSaw
Both female MCs have similar personalities, and both shows are set in some sort of closed space where nobody is safe.
report Recommended by shei350
Both the anime have similar concept as the main characters must go through each floors and fight the enemy characters from each floor until they reach the top.
report Recommended by The_Solitary_Guy
Both of the series are psychological and bloody. If you have watched Death note, i think you wil also like Satsuriku no Tenshi :).

i herd u liek serial killers, so i put serial killers in ur anime Do you like serial killers? Did you wish that your local crime/mystery/suspense anime had more of them? Have you ever wished to follow the exploits of teams of serial killers (and pseudo-serial killers) as they go against other serial killers? If so, then I have two shows for you! Both Angels of Death and ID:Invaded are speculative and somewhat surrealist shows about these mass murderers, pitting the more heroic ones against their villainous counterparts as the former attempt to solve the curious plot at hand.

Both animes deal with death, suicide themes, and more importantly, if violence is ever justifiable. Equally dark content or 'lingering' darkness after you watch it, though Satsuriku no Tenshi has more energetic characters, while Kara no Kyoukai has more reserved, mature, characters.

Zack and Accelerator are both psycho, powerful and have the same voice actor. Both anime are dark and gory.

Angel of Death and Sankarea are anime series that revolve around themes of life, death, and the dark past of the characters. Both series feature protagonists who are somewhat obsessed with death. Additionally, both series have a dark and macabre tone throughout, with moments of horror and suspense. Both series also feature characters with unique powers related to death and resurrection. These two anime also have the theme of romance but with a dark twist and both female protagonists have gone through a hard time and found love in an unusual way.

Similar mysterious/confusing other worldly vibes and aesthetic

Both feature female main leads, who are rather monotone and typically emotionless. But does show emotion when interacting with the male lead. Both of the male lead are proficient at killing and are for whatever reason connected to the female MC. The relationship in both shows are quite weird, and takes a while until you understand their connection.

If you like RPG Maker horror games, you'll most likely enjoy these shows. Satsuriku no Tenshi is straight out based off one. Shadows House isn't, but its ambiance is very close to one (think Mad Father, The Witch's House, Chloe's Requiem...) Other than that, Satsuriku no Tenshi and Shadows House both tell the tale of clueless characters that are trapped in a dark and mysterious building.

Both based on RPG Maker games (TAKE NOTE: Ao Oni is a comedy--Angel of Death is horror/drama).
report Recommended by MagentaCooly
Creepy guys in a creepy house compete over who will get to kill/torture a blonde loli like she's a tasty snack. Both are extremely edgy shows.
report Recommended by PlzAllow
Killer tags along a loli as they travel a strange world. Both have religious undertones and talk about graves, but Satsuriku no Tenshi is more horror-focused.
report Recommended by PlzAllow
Both feature a bandage-covered guy displaying a mix of love and sadism towards an unfortunate young girl. Both are horror with drama elements.
report Recommended by PlzAllow
Both anime are mysterious and psychological. Main character is smart, but emotionless and very monotonic. Satou and Gray have the same voice actor Houchu Ohtsuka.
report Recommended by Hutai
Both revolve around two girls who know more about their situation/identity than they let on, although one is more happy-go-lucky while the other is nonchalant. Both girls have targets on their backs while stuck in a building where other people try to kill them. They also both become friends with one of the killers who became their protectors. And all of the killers in both shows have unique ways of killing off their victims.
report Recommended by Amethyst_Blaze
Both characters appear in a new world and they're not sure how they got there and people show up trying to kill them
report Recommended by warguy444
Similar main characters with very slight romance. Both horror shows where the two main characters protect eachother.
report Recommended by FinNote
1. Similar anime heroines. Both are emotionless girls at first. But then, thanks to the partner, they acquire emotions. 2. Similar relationships between the protagonists. Their roles in partnership are similar. 3. In general, the atmosphere is similar.

A level-based game. A mission to solve to get to the next stage and mystery behind every character. Who are they? What are they doing there? Why are there?
report Recommended by WhiteZuri
both story are about memory loss & be stuck in abandon buiding & killing for survival. main famale character (kirigiri & rachel) are kuudere girl.
report Recommended by kapuraenyo
The protagonist in both series is a cute little girl. Both shows use the power of edge to develop main protagonist's character. Bloody scenes. Also, there are some spooky (horror) elements in both series.
