Juuni Taisen

Both have the same situation where survival is the name of the game where anybody can be murdered.  

Again, both are survival anime about a bunch of people being told they have to kill each other. In Danganronpa, they have to kill someone secretly then get away with it. In Juuni Taisen, it's just a free for all. 

- 12/15 people must kill each other to get freedom - there are pacifists, who don't wan't to kill and there are mad people having fun with the killings - every character is unique and has his/her special personality and character traits 

A group of misfits are put together in an isolated environment, so that they can deceive and kill each other. Why? Because the game can have only one survivor, and that can happen only when you kill the rest of the people you stand with you. Both anime feature lies, betrayals, unusual alliances and the deaths of the most unexpected characters. Both also have fairly questionable plots, but if you're someone who enjoys blood, death and gore more than the intricacies of the plots of anime series, then both these series should prove to be entertaining to you. 

They are both killing games except this anime is based on the video game. In Danganronpa, it is about regular school students who are imprisoned inside Hopes Peak Academy, but in order to gain back their freedom, they must murder someone and get away with it. I would recommend the game itself, but the anime counts as a weaker substitute. 

Both of these shows share the theme of characters killing each other. In Danganronpa, the students were kidnapped, but the characters in Juuni Taisen are there by choice. Every character in Juuni Taisen possesses some sort of power to fight the others, simmaler to how the students in Hope's Peak have Ultimates.  

Just like Juuni Taisen they are both Battle Royale themed. Just instead of an empty city this is set in a post-apocalyptic time 

Juuni Taisen resembles Akudama Drive due to the reunion of a bloodshed crew and, ultimately, having, almost, nothing in common besides their alignment: chaotic. Even so, speaking of the characters background, the way that both works develops that department is rather familiar with each other. We basically aren't presented with their true "identity", likewise, their strangeness factor is what drives us nuts to try to understand their own reasons and, both of them, nailed in the background story of characters. And, if you've liked the characters bonds in Akudama Drive, I guarantee to you that in Juuni Taise is even more impressive, after all, it does have more characters in the cast and, with the premise of a Battle royale, a good introduction/development-reasoning of each and individual character is, fundamentally, important for a such great event. Akudama Drive goes for a more "Heist" category then battle Royale per see but, as preposterous that it seems, is a really relatable atmosphere. Juuni Taise, at least, in my opinion, gathers a better OST than the relatable material and, for some information that can be counted as spoiler, I'm gonna avoid to explain this but , I just can say that the dimension of the main events is bigger in epistemological terms. Nevertheless, they are gore, war zone fields, background mysterious cast and aesthetic work specialists in sound and animation/art (Juuni Taisen with Sawano Hiroyuki fingers and Akudama Drive Cyberpunk stylish environment and transitions). Both animes have a battle-royale-esque theme going on. Personally, I found that they both seem to have a similar dark vibe in it. The characters are similar in the sense that we do not get their actual names and that their "names" / the character they play describes their role > in Juuni Taisen - the Zodiacs are like their zodiac animals > in Akudama Drive - the roles each characters has describes their personality in some way and tells us their specialty 

both are hardcore parkour. so much so, they both get ~+half the show being the moronic blacked out screen of "you know you're watching a horror anime, RIGHT??! because, even though you know this, and made the conscious choice to watch it, you still probably shouldn't be seeing this". in all seriousness: great animation, awesome va's, compelling storylines, boppin music, yet both far too short for how good they are imo 

A group of individuals with hidden talents and skill sets, are made to kill each other in order to win a 'game'. Both series involve manipulations, surprising alliances, lots of action, gore and deaths, as well as a completely unexpected ending. 

a battle royale concept where the characters try to kill the other ones to win. Both stories have teaming and great fight scenes. 

Both are battle royale anime where 12 contestants fight to the death for divine reward. Juuni Taisen though has no main character focus as opposed to Future Diary and Juuni Taisen being a seinen anime 

This is another death game show, zodiac-styles! It's not as completely wild plot-wise as Future Diary, it also has lesser sexual themes - but it is still QUITE interesting, dark, and gory. The stories it tells within are doozies and might make you go like this: 👁️👄👁️ Juuni Taisen is not a romance, not really much of a mystery, and there is no placeable yandere, exactly... but it is a RIDE to behold, and honestly I think it's pretty underrated. Everyone is pretty intense in it, it's both fun and sad! 👍 I enjoy the character designs especially. 

Both are a survival anime, one with heroes fighting to the death, and one with Chinese animals (or something like that) fighting to the death. Both anime have them competing for something that grants any wish they want. 

If you like Junni Taisen then you will most likely Fate Zero which is a much better and more deeper with much better characters in comparison. 1. Largely based on the same premise on killing each other in order to be granted a wish 2. Both action animes with dark themes 3. While characters in Junni Taisen are based in fitting on Chinese Zodiac Signs, Fate Zero is based on historical figures fitting in Servant Classes such as Rider, Archer, Saber, Assassin, Caster and Lancer.  

Both shows have similar character types; like Saber from F/Z and Sharyuu, both characters are looking for a way to save people through fairytale like means. Obviously these shows are battle royals, but they never really feel like they are, Fate/Zero is more character and ideology driven, and where they then realize they're going to have to crush someone else's dreams in order to achieve their own. Personal note; I think that if you loved Fate/Zero, then don't watch UBW, just don't. If you loved Zero's top notch, meaningful fights, then I promise you, you'll love Juuni Taisen's. 

Plot revolves around characters facing off against each other and the winner gets a wish granted. Quick pace, close combat fight scenes. In Fate characters resemble historical figures and in Juuni Taisen they are based on zodiac signs 

Both feature a large cast of characters fighting to the death in a battle royale setting. Ikusei Keikaku uses the cute magical girl trope and adds the battle royale trope as a dark twist early on in the show. Juuni Taisen's main focus is the battle royale setting and therefore is set in an abandoned city set as the arena. Both have some pretty "unique" character designs and both have a repeating aspect of showing a character's backstory before said character meets an "unfortunate demise." While not the best written shows, both are very entertaining in similar fashions.

Both are about a group of guys and girls with weapons or superpowers/abilities that are trying to kill each other. Very similar drawings. Both really good. 

- Limited cast of characters - atrocity war, one last standing, "Hunger Games" are ways protagonists die - enemy can be anywhere, they dont know who to trust - unexpected plot twists 

A collection of absurdly overpowered individuals with conflicting interests, shifting alliances, and unclear motives compete for an even more unclear objective. Interesting characters and good action, and just enough violence to be fun rather than grim. Worth a watch for fans of a battle-royale style conflict.  

-Both anime go hand in hand with the 'Hunger Games' principle -Characters compete against each other using similar techniques and strategies. -Betrayal and loyalty are in constant alternation -Psychological games of the competitors 

Both involves a survival game, where if you dead - you lose. Similar ideas in of some super powers ability that may or may not help you in fight.  

Both contain a group of people killing to get one wish. However, in Juuni Taisen there is not a specific target. Junni Taisen is better than this anime, but the manag for Junni Taisen is just as good as the manga for Akuma no Riddle. 

Both with chaotic combat and massive fatality 

They by far a not the close to each other in overall plot. Now the main comparison of the two is how the story is told with the constant back story during the middle of the battle. Both are graphic as long as you watch the uncensored version.

Both are about a game of killing between anthropomorphic girls and guys. Behind both games there are people who bet on the winner. Both are very bloody and similar in the drawings. 

Both Juuni Taisen and Etotama's characters are based on the 12 chinese Zodiac and have fights between them. But while Juuni Taisen is serious, darker and most of its characters have tragic backstories, Etotama is comedic, light-hearted, parodies several anime tropes and the characters are colorful. In Juuni Taisen, the Zodiac representatives fight in a battle royale to have a with granted. In Etotama, the characters are literally the Zodiac spirits and the protagonist (Nyaa-tan) is a minor spirit who wants to join the main 12, and so has to make all of them acknowledge her power by beating them. Finally, both have very good visuals and action, Juuni Taisen handling the grim atmosphere well in a 2D environment, while Etotama switches between regular 2D visuals for comedy/SoL scenes and gorgeous and astoundingly well-animated action in 3D. read more
