All the myth-busting that's being done is really similar. Species that look like monsters to us arent really monsters and are the same living beings with the same worries and problems as us. Just by reading synopsis for both animes you will find them really similar. Both Slice of lifes and slow-paced.

Monster girl slice of life.

The atmosphere and the theme are very close between his two series. Monster Girls and their problem ...

Never-ending girls talk! Anime about high school life where girls are not necessarily that cute? Where they are having quasi-realistic talk about, among others, seemingly serious things? Their types are also similar, despite different realms. Nice to watch and compare both shows.

Both are animes about daily life. Also both main characters are "horse-girls"

Both series have cute animal girls doing cute things, having fun with their friends and enjoying life while contemplating the bigger questions of life.

Both series are very laid back and relaxing tales of nice characters living their lives.

Seton Gakuen is also in a high school setting but has anthro animals instead of monsters as characters with a male lead.

Both are moe SOL with monster girls as common trope. Highly recommend Centaur no Nayami if you're into politics while still wanting some cute loli girls

Different species with animal characteristics living together and how it affects the society, including different customs, mingling of biological differences and even (fantasy equivalent of) racism. While in Centaur no Nayami the social commentary is more of a secondary theme, in Beastars it's the main focus.

Concept of society of non-humans is used to portray a mirror for our society, and even though it is slice of life, sometimes the series takes a darker turn, though much more often in case of Beastars.

Even when Monster Musume is totally a harem/romance series, they are both light headed series, where there isn't much heavy stuff going on. In both you get to see monster girls just living their live.

Both shows have underlying social commentary presented by anthromorphic creatures.
