Both of these anime features a heroine in a fantasy world that is a songstress (her song has power). However SSwU is a shoujo romantic fiction while Lost Song has a hinted romantic subplot but focus on friendship, adventure and political intrigue. Still if you like beautiful songs and good animation you might want to watch them.

Trying to spoil as little as possible here, but while it starts as a typical fantasy anime with some great music, Lost Song eventually takes a crazy and unexpected twist that rivals those of Madoka, give it a change and you definitely won't be disappointed.

Warning this recommendation only applies to a part of Last Song's. so if you didn't like this part of Last song then I suggest you ignore this recommendation. both deals with the meaning of life in the same way a good example of what I mean is this quote from Hi No Tori "Life is beginning of an eternity, a never-ending cycle." they show this narrative by introducing a character that's immortal. able to see the world play out on the level of eons show that no matter how much things may change they will always be the same. whether literally or more abstractly. the only difference is  read more

Both are about a group of girls who heal / cheer others using the power of singing. I think people who liked one of them will like the other as they have similar concepts and "feel" .

These two animes kinda give me the same vibe. Both has romance and there's girls who sing. Though the setting is entirely different, Macross F is all about space. I'd recommend you to check Macross Frontier out if you enjoyed LOST SONG and likewise.

Vivy is organised around the idea that a Song can change the world and the characters, and so, a part of the story is about this point. Lost Song could be the fantasy version of Vivy : - The same importance of songs on the world and characters - a very good OST - Part of both animes are about the necessity to change the reality, the past, etc. Personally, I found Lost Song better written and the OST also better, so I highly recommend it to those who liked Vivy.

Do you believe music has power? Yeah, music has a lot of power in these animes. If you like powers like these you're gonna love both

The plot twist is kinda similar to the Lost Song series. It's absolutely nice plot to watch. The vibes of the plot remind me of this series. And the "tabi" or the adventure with the knights is similar to Akatsuki no Yona. You might feel the abstract thing in this Kaizoku Oujo, but if you understand the plot what they told, you not gonna confuse and understand the meaning😊👍

A fantasy setting where a girl with unexpected power struggles against the religious and esoteric rules of her society.

The power of songs is important in both of the anime, and both anime also have people who want to abuse the powers and turn music into a weapon of mass destruction. Additionally, along the way, the main characters of both the anime go on a journey to follow their destiny and make important friends along the way. Therefore, if you like the plot and theme of one these, you'll surely like the other one too!

Have the same theory about time-travel about the future and bit tragic

These are very similar in tone and story structure, and both heavily involve celestial bodies (no spoilers) and time. Lost Song has a more fantastical setting and usage of magic, compared to Your Name.'s magical realism. Lost Song also gets a lot darker in places, but they both ultimately have happy endings.
