Both have highschool transformations and romance. Relationship building, circles, and fitting in.

It's also a anime that show how incredeble are be a gamer, but in this case, it' s a anime more nostalgic, because the main characters are young, and this anime for me, made I remenber a bunch of my past, the beginning of my gamer life, really recommend.

These two series are extremely similar but they explore different 'adventures'. Same tags, same type of story but with a different execution.

Gamers and Konobi share a very similar premise, each are about a group of students in a club. Konobi is an art club focused show and Gamers is, well, about gaming. Each show gives you a similar vibe when you're watching it, the humor is similar and character interactions are also really similar. In both the shows there's a main male and female protagonist and in each show they share a love interest to add to the comedic factor. If you've seen Konobi and enjoyed it, I would recommend Gamers for a similar experience.

Well if you like anime that focus on a group of people that like video games and stuff then both of these shows work. Wotakoi is a more mature romance with like, actual adults. Gamers is set in high school and uses the character's screwed up relationships and misunderstandings as its main source of comedy. If you want shows with a likable cast, above average comedy and nerdiness then both of these shows are worth checking out imo

-Highschool setting with Game Clubs? Check -MC got thrown into weird situations (with comedic theme)? Check -Lot's of strange girls with their own unique charms (or Galge template)? Check -Funny and surprisingly nice characters? Check -Have games and nerd culture only as a theme for the character's background? Check Both are very similar in these aspects, especially as a comedy, these 2 have similar types of humor based on how ridiculous things gets. Not exactly the same, but I do think if you like one, then you will like the other. The biggest difference between D-Frag! and Gamers! is how the former is a pure comedy, while the later are a  read more

Both are about gamers with a combination of romantic comedy.

Well, the main characters are the biggest similarity: both are quite nerdy therefore their love-life is rather troublesome. Both interpret the "nerdiness" differently though, so that's fortunate.

Highschool comedy setting with a lot of misunderstanding. In Gamers! It only revolves around the 5 Main Characters, while in Handa-kun it involves more characters but with Handa as the center of misunderstandings.

Unnecessarily complicated love pentagon without being super serious business, generally laid back feel. Great if you love that stuff.

Both have a school setting with romantic comedy. Both share misunderstandings in relationships.

They both have the same genre and talk about same themes

Both anime feature a club. Also the characters are similar.
report Recommended by Rezolut1on
A lot of the humor is built upon misunderstandings that wouldn't happen if they only actually communicated their feelings with each other.

Both plots get most of their drive from a love triangle which has two girls it wants the protagonist to choose between. The first option is a dark-haired girl who through her self-entitled logic believes only she deserves to be with MC, despite her coldness and/or mistreatment of the MC as well as others in the shared friend group. The second option is a blonde girl who remains mostly well-intentioned and tends to have more chemistry with the MC as well as feelings for him that are more strongly represented through the shows. Gamers! is much more frustrating to watch, due to other plot elements. Haganai  read more

Both series are full of comedic misunderstandings and manipulation. The gags and comedic timing of the characters interactions have a similar levels of fun. So, if you like OreSuki than you should 100% watch Gamers. The only difference between the two series is that Gamers has more of an Otaku feel to it.

Both shows are cute and focus about a group of characters who love games. New Game! is more slice of life and comedy, while Gamers is just comedy. Both casts are very lively and fun to watch. Gamers also tries to show couples with two parties that both love games, while New Game! has an all girls cast, unless you read the one manga chapter that has 1 guy (sorry for the spoiler, but it shouldn't be a big deal). The art style is cutesy in both anime. There are fun antics between the cast members in both shows.  read more

- The two main male characters have a similar relation, which is often funny. - The main character is in a love triangle. - Both Animes are just hilarious. - Both animes are related to games somehow. I would say "Gamers!" is a fusion between Baka to Test and Toradora! but obviously, its own essence that differentiates from both animes. It's a very very good anime and I mean it! Especially its last episode (Episode 6) made me laugh I lot, and I'm not an easy laugh guy. I am liking it so much, give it a try! Thanks for reading!

The main cast in each of these shows share a certain degree of similarity between them (including visually where they seem a little bit like Expys of the other - Keita/Banri, Karen/Kouko, Chiaki/Nana, Tasuku/Mitsuo, Aguri/Chinami). The interactions & relationships between these characters get a lot of focus as well and should make for an interesting watch for viewers who already like one of these two shows.

+1 at Gamers being similar to Kanojo, Okarishimasu. Has a "normal" mc, a harem, heaps of misunderstandings, and a romance plot that can make you spin if you try to keep up with it.
report Recommended by anikurikokua
Both it's about comedy, slice of life of nerds who like something in common. In Gamers it's games, and in eromanga-sensei it's novels!
report Recommended by DouglasVieira
They're both written by the same author. The way the characters feel and behave is similar so if you like this show, you'd definitely like Seitokai no Ichizon.

It is also a slice of life taking place in a high school. In Genshiken, it is a club around the culture otaku (anime, manga, video game, cosplay, etc.). In Gamers!, it is a club around video games only.

- Both Animes have 5 characters involved in a romantic triangle (actually Pentagon O.o) or however it is called. Which is pretty funny! - The characters don't know each other completely which led them to "imagine things" O.O - Both Animes are pretty funny. The humor in both is unique. - Toradora! is a little bit serious, well I've only watch Gamers! up to episode 6 (Which is the last aired before I'm making this Recommendation. - The story is pretty entertaining and it will hook you up in the first episodes. I would say "Gamers!" is a fusion between Baka to Test and Toradora! but obviously, its own essence  read more

A love triangle between an awkward nerd, a semi-tsundere gyaru and a reserved girl who thinks she has little chance in the mix spiced up with meta humor, a vibrant art style and conflict that could all be solved with a thorough 5-minute conversation.

another example of a perfectly done love triangle, it has everything that a romance junkie could ever wish & dream for. you'll have to watch them to see exactly how beautiful it was done. hope ya have 𝓕𝓤𝓝 anyways!

love triangles can be really tricky to handle but both of these shows managed to get it perfectly! school days might be bit gore-ish & clanky at times, still it was done beautifully. hope ya have 𝓕𝓤𝓝 anyways!

Whilst Hitoribocchi isn't romance/couples based comedy like Gamers!, a lot of its strong points are fairly similar. For example, a lot of the laughs are based off of the awkwardness of the main characters interactions and sometimes sheer stupidity in certain situations, and how many situations are blown out of context because of this naivety and misunderstandings, making them both enjoyable watches.

These series both have a very different premise with one being about talking to cats and one about a trash gamer whos finally making friends. But one thing they have in common is that they are both romcoms with relationships that develop fast. If you are annoyed with annoying mc's that are denser than the periodic table, then you should check this one out. They both have mc's who actually have a crush on a female, they also both try to pursue the female love interest. If you like the style of Nyan Koi then you will like Gamers!

A romantic anime where a popular girl fall in love with unpopular guy .

The most dramatic romantic comedy between some high-school gamers

Both anime's have a romance aspect in which they all lack communication.

Rom com where the girl is the one who is obsessed and is trying to make moves on the guy but misunderstandings cause a lot of awkward but funny situations much to the girl's chagrin.
report Recommended by VenomEmperor
The romance part is similar

One is about a band, one is about a group of gamers, and neither of them do much playing. One is pure moe, the other is a romcom to the core, and neither of them do much plot progression. They're genuinely enjoyable to watch, regardless of if the initial concept is pretty misleading on how the rest of the anime will go.

Two misunderstood works of art, depicting teenage students, with their deceit and worries. They share high quality production and well-written characters in common. The main character in both Gamers! and NGE is a reclusive depressive kid, that wants and craves for company and bonds.

Both involves characters being recruited by a very persistent female character to join the club where it competes for honor prestige and money.

The main protagonist and one of the heroines of both anime are similar. Amano = Aki (Both very obsessed in games (in other words, Otaku)). Tendou = Utaha (The most popular girl in school who's secretly an Otaku).

Cute, funny and awkward interactions between the characters.

Basically is the life of a gamer (in this anime 2 gamers) who play like a cheater xd. But out of jokes is a funny anime and I recommend to watch ;) , this anime teach you the mentality of a gamer and the problems what they have.

Besides the main characters being into gaming, these types of anime involve romance and/or romantic relationships with other characters.

Both are about a blonde popular school girl that is a secret otaku And both have complicated relationships with the characters (for example Kirie doesn't know that umaru in cape is the same umaru as umaru without cape. And in gamers keita doesn't know that chiaki is Mono.

Gamers! and Kanojo mo Kanojo both agree on the same trick when it comes to telling a story: you can explore a lot of plot and get a lot of laughs by having very, very, foolish characters. Looking for a romantic comedy of fools? Then these two series are just what you're looking for. In both Gamers! and Kanojo mo Kanojo, you'll find a central cast of silly characters that constantly make the wrong move, allowing situations to spiral increasingly out of control until some unexpected savant brilliance brings things to a hilarious close... or maybe that only worked because all the other characters were  read more
