Morbidly fascinating shorts that challenge your current way of thinking, current way of life, and everything that is holy and good in this forsaken world. Grotesque but perceptive commentaries on animation as an art form... Like a breeze of fresh air in the fart laden basement room of modern anime. Both shorts evoke feelings of discomfort, arousal, and euphoria. Please watch.

I honestly don't know how these two cannot be related. They have silly stories, lack any proper animation, and are extremely polarising in the enjoyment category. But the fact that these two anime exist, in such a way that makes them incredible outliers to the medium, is all the more reason to watch these two. I promise these are funny if you have humour like mine too. Both very time efficient too.

Not much other than protagonists are similar with them having a very funny head shape and are equally as facially expressively funny when the moments arrive. Saitama and Onara are also great teachers. Two very different comedies from the norm, with one being praised by a lot of people, the other being very strange, it speaks for itself.

Do I need to say anything with these titles? Pop Team Epic and Onara Gorou would fit the titles of "shitpost anime" with the two being nonsensical to the point where logic is just a word. Everything you'd expect from a surreal comedy. Funny stuff happens with no actual point or meaning to the plot. As if there was one in the first place. Great surreal comedy anime, taking it to the next level. Relatively short too if you want to skip PTE 2nd halves.

I can't believe how nobody has made the comparison already. Onara Gorou contains lots of deadpan humour, barely has animation and it even shares some of those still character angles when they talk, which could probably be a reference. Also episodes are short and contain diverse random situations.

Same graphic and animation style Nonsense humor (though Onara Gorou is way more hilarious imo)

Anime with short episodes that have an abundance of flatulence.

Both were written by the same person and have the same art style Both tell us about our life

Same type of animation and similar humor. Yo! Daitouryou Trap-kun seems to be on the more blatant side however.

Onara Gorou and Angel Densetsu are about a gross and terrifying main character, but is more than what meets the eye as they are actually both sweet and kind. Both shows have low budget animation and lots of encounters with delinquents.
