Keijo!!!!!!!!

Japan's latest competitive sport, keijo, is dictated by a simple set of rules: female-only participants must stand on circular platforms floating in a pool—referred to as "lands"—with the goal being to knocking off opponents using only their breasts and butts. Despite this outlandish premise, the sport attracts millions of viewers across the country and boasts a lavish prize pool. Many aspiring athletes take up the challenge in hopes of becoming the next national champion.

After graduating from high school, the lively 17-year-old Nozomi Kaminashi enters the world of keijo, hoping to bring home a fortune to her poor family. As a gifted gymnast, Nozomi quickly proves herself a tough competitor after stealing the spotlight in her debut tournament. Meeting new friends and rivals as she climbs the ranks, Nozomi discovers that the path to stardom as a keijo player is filled with intense competition that will challenge not only her body, but also her soul.

Just a fact for the fellas: It really hurts to get hit in the boobs.

If you can get past that fact, then this is a pretty fun and silly show. You know the deal, combat with T&A as the weapons.

The part that makes it endearing is the absolutely seriousness the whole show, especially the dub, takes with the material. They never break and acknowledge how dumb the whole thing. The whole thing gets more and more nuts until it’s a shonen battle anime with explosions, auras, and over the top signature attacks.

One thing I am very grateful for is they is no ... real focus on the girls’ looks from a male perspective. That would’ve made things really creepy. The gals comment on and complement each other but it’s all good sportsmanship and sisterhood of the team and competition. There’s are some yuri sex pest jokes, but that’s not unexpected.

It’s a wild ride. <3

Mixed Feelings

Now I wont lie, while I understand the appeal of this anime, considering I am not a big 'sports' fan, this anime just didn't land very well with me. It is entertaining and funny don't get me wrong but considering at its core it is indeed a sports anime I just didn't have a real general interest until they started competing against other Keijo players. Once the actual competition started I was hooked as it contained a lot of action and suspense but even then its more of a general fun than a binge the next episode immediately kind of thing. If you like sports ... anime mixed with some yuri/ecchi elements then you will LOVE Keijo!!!

Keijo!!!!!!!!

I can't say exactly what got me into watching this anime, but it was a less terrible experience than I expected at the beginning. Just take your "favorite shounen" and swap out the power system for butts and boobs (including the attacks) and then you have Keijo. Everything is there, the training montages, the conversations about will and friendship, bizarre powers and the power of feelings.

There is almost no creativity behind this concept, since it is an immensely simple shounen parody. Simple yes, but as soon as the characters start fighting with their asses, teleporting or doing judo with their nipples, you reach a limit ... of "insanity" and that was... new. I wasn't sure whether to cry or laugh, so my confused feelings decided to just enjoy this anime.

In this world, it's a normality for people who have trained their bodies well enough. To make their 'asses so strong to smash concrete. To break light or make a nipple a Sperr. And this hardcore normalized reality, makes the anime what it is. It's not shoved in the viewer's mouth as a "joke", but illustrated in the best possible way that it is normal.


[Story 1]

School, superpowers, duel between 2 classes. The lowest level that could have been reached was deliberately chosen here.

Unfortunately, the quality of animation and humor dropped massively from episode 7, making the last 5 episodes even bad and that for this anime.

[Animation 5 / Music 6]

The animation was immensely stabbing from the start, giving the viewer those bizarre fights from the best perspective. So much so that you could almost call these fights dynamic. Especially because of the sounds that underlined the whole thing even better. From episode 7, the animations became very bad, you could clearly see that the studio lost interest and got other priorities.




The outro is average, but the intro had an above average quality. If you only heard it musically without seeing the scenes, you would definitely get a better impression.

[Conclusion 3]

The anime is literally ass. A shounen with ass. What was still missing were the dead parents of the protagonist or a destroyed village.

Who actually has enough nerves to watch something like this without immediately building up benefits, then he will definitely find here an entertainment around trash movie format.
