Similar atmosphere and world. Similar young main character who loves discovery, tech and hover boards. Both shows have a mysterious young girl who seems out of this world and plays a major role in the plot. Both mecha.

similar in art, story progressions are different, same basis though - different planet, fantastical otherwordly abilities, mecha feel, slight romance but not mushy.

-similar character relationships -same genres -both have lots of wasted potential

Both of these animes give me a similar vibe in their presentation. Although their plots are somewhat different, they both give off a feeling of adventure in an advanced yet old-fashioned world.

Both are mecha Both protagonists are young boys who end up entering a world of "protecting the world" by an "accident" of destiny. Like Comet Lucifer, Aquarion Evol presents two worlds in which one of them desperately wants to be saved. The romance of both is something almost left in the background, on account of the adventures, however, pleases.

An adventurous boy accidentally stumbles upon a girl with a mysterious past and unusual powers among the ruins of his city. Both series feature giant robots in a fantasy-futuristic setting.
