Fairly long children's shows that feature a girl in school taking care of cute plushy-like creatures that have magic in them too. Character archetypes are quite similar between both shows and use 3D CGI where needed but mainly consist of 2D type drawings. Both are full of silly fun everyday life but what makes them different is that Cocotama is generally more normal whereas Mewkledreamy has some of the humans being magical girls/boys along with this being a slight more romance heavy compared to Cocotama.

Children's shows featuring a girl taking care of cute creatures, tho despite their demographics are children, Chii-chan feels more suitable for children slightly older than if it was for Cocotama. There are characters that are silly and full of everyday fun but creatures in both are kept a secret to most humans whilst the creatures strive in a goal throughout both, Chii-chan repaying kindness to the MC whilst Cocotama are little gods trying to help out everyone in order to become fully fledged gods. The shows are very colourful and there ain't really much threat going on, just the daily lives of the characters as something exciting  read more

Silly creatures get up to fun activities in their everyday lives with minimal problematic issues occurring in these children's anime. They're very similar in there being new creatures in both shows they meet along the way and are full of vivid colourful depictions. The main difference is that Shizuku has characters all within a completely fictional world whereas Cocotama is based in a modern day Japanese setting, also in Cocotama the creatures need to be kept a secret whilst Shizuku's just roam around wherever. They feature characters in training, Cocotama to become fully fledged gods whereas Shizuku in becoming better protectors of the forest. The different character archetypes are  read more

Both revolve around the adventures of a brown-haired elementary schooler's pets while she is at school, and have an orange hamster-like pet, a shy girl character who wears a bow and a playhouse where the pets live in.

Both feature the mundane adventures of a bunch of cute, colorful creatures, who live with a human girl. There's even a tsundere sort-of-enemy one, and both human families have a pet cat. Main difference is that the Cocotama have to be kept a secret from the rest of the world while the general populous seems to know about the Punirunes.
