Bamboo Blade

Both anime have group of girls aiming to be the best in the country. Overall show feels the same.  

4 Girls. Joined in a same club member and try to protect it from being banned. 

These shows are alike in a lot of ways. Both involve clubs, and have some fighting.  

Both anime have harem, cute girls, fights, kantanas and kendo :D 

Very similar anime about bunch of girls trying their best to achieve results in sports. 

A motley crew's rise to prominence at a sport can be seen in either show. Every member has their own characteristics, and how they interact and bounce off each other make it fun to watch.  

Both about girls in sport. 

Many people will probably see this as huge stretch since Bamboo Blade really isn't Magical type anime. The similarity lies in the two lead characters who are somewhat withdrawn and timid yet fiery and assertive when it comes to swordplay. While Shana is a mythical Flame Haze sent to regulate the balance of the spirit and physical world, Tamaki Kawazoe is a timid and innocent Kendo savant that is almost unbeatable on during a match. Both Tamaki and Shana both have to struggle to develop their maturing social lives and learn about the opposite sex. While there genre's are different other than the slice of life and comedy themes, I felt that both of these Animes possessed enough similarities to say that if you liked Bamboo Blade then you will probably like Shukugan no Shana. More so even then the second season of Shukugan no Shana which was filled with so much filler that I was getting angry by the sixth episode. read more

Sports series which focus on female characters are in the minority, but in regards to these two series, the female cast of characters feature a wide rage of eccentricities among the characters. The person in charge of the teams is also their own level of eccentric, yet works on improving the girls skills so that they can compete and succeed at their chosen sports. 

The activities may be different but the feelings are quite similar. In both series, there's a club involving a group of young girls doing an activity they enjoy in while excelling at them through practice, skill, and determination. The main female character becomes focused in the club and makes both friends as well as rivals throughout the series. The competition is fierce but at the same time, the characters often seems to have fun in a lighthearted atmosphere. There's comedy, drama, and some emotional factors later on as well.

They're similar because they're a group of high schoolers under one teacher and usually fight in groups; Bamboo Blade portrays "official" fights. Bamboo Blade has less romance in it but more comedy. If you liked Fuji (the dog) in Gokusen or the Yakuza crying when acting like in a theatre play, you'd probably like Bamboo Blade for similar reasons. If you liked Gokusen for the martial scenes, Bamboo Blade is also a good choice. They really show appreciation for kendo and the technical side of it, while also having females practicing and being great at it. 

Both have tons of slapstick humor and some charming moments. 

Great slapstick and joke driven comedies that involve fighting and high school, and both of them like to go into super-deformed mode to convey added hilarity. 

To be exact, there is only one similarity that I can think of. At first, both clubs had many members, but due to reasons, a lot of the club member left and both clubs had minimal members. - Bamboo Blade: a member was a sadist that scared all of the members away and the seniors were studying for their exams - Whistle!: Mizuno Tatsuya and Kazamatsuri Sho made a deal with the team captain that whoever won the match would be captain, but because the team captain loss and couldn't deal with Mizuno being captain, many members left Somehow, both clubs manages to maintain enough members to compete and are aiming for the nationals. They're different, but you get the same feeling of determination from both animes read more 

Sports, slice of life... They present a similar vibe. The outcome of their struggles are unpredictable. 

On the surface, there is too much similarities but in both series, there is quite a lot I found in common. Both series involves a group of characters participating in an activity from a school environment. There is that sense of competition and strive to succeed among each member of the teams. The background is lighthearted and it takes practice to succeed for the characters. It is surprisingly realistic and portrays the activities they do in a more definite and profound way. The main female characters from both series also share similar personalities. 

Both are comedies centering on a group of cute high school girls, yet (refreshingly) neither relies on sexy fanservice for its appeal, giving each a similarly lighthearted and simply charming atmosphere. The appeal comes straight from the quirky characters with their charming personalities, including some likable teacher characters for support. Beyond their humor, both also manage to deliver some heartwarming and relatable emotion in their latter halves. 

Both are about a girls-only sports team of 5 girls with a very skilled lead, both are cute and fun. 

The characters are slightly similar in their cuteness, as well as the plot. A club that is struggling to become real, to become strong. If you like Bamboo Blade, but want something that is about a different sort of club, Gakuen Utopia is your show. 

It is nostalgic, and shows how an intense love for a common goal (hobby or occupation) is never trivial. Bamboo Blade focuses on Kendo, Bartender focuses on drinks, but what is really looked at in both series are the stories that tie in with the event or drink. 

So grasshopper you have watched Bamboo Blade but still require more comedic martial art action? Have you the discipline to watch a comedy that breaks the forth and possibly even the fifth wall? Are you prepared to deal with more girls kicking the crap out of men who seem to have trained in martial arts their whole lives? Then you are ready for Jubei-chan. 

As I was watching Hidamari Sketch I couldn't help but think of Bamboo Blade. They both are about a group of students at school and have somewhat similar comedy.  

I enjoyed both series for their strong female characters, though some people may disagree. Of course, the anime is not the same as the manga for Bamboo Blade. 

Both have sports teams that work together led by a small child prodigy. 

They have similar senses of humour, although Bamboo Blade is more serious (sometimes). 

The're somewhat similar cz the're both about kendo.... 

Both series are about students enjoying their club activities. The main characters from the two series are both quiet and reflective, while the supporting characters are similarly wacky. Both series are funny as well. 

Moe highschool girls friendship& comedy. While Bamboo Blade is sports themed, and A-channel is slice of life one can feel some similiarities.
