both are about school life, both are very funny, and both animes have cute character designs.

Both are whacky, surreal comedies that involve female, human-like creatures who never get explained.

Both are the humorous misadventures of a strange creature and its interactions with a small community. Both have cute, simplistic character designs, and each has the same satisfyingly slow pace.

Both are about cute little moe blobs with animal characteristics and have the same kind of slightly twisted humor.

The main characters look very similar, cute&moe

Both have strange creatures. Both have humorous situations arise when these creatures do unexpected things.

- Light-hearted slice of life - Similar cute art and color palette - Cast of likeable characters with comedic interactions - Off-beat at times

a sudden event changes someone's life for the weird (and very funny).

The daily lives of an ordinary schoolboy and his miniature, vaguely humanoid friend.

They are similar animes in terms of being nosense and having supernatural beings altering what happens to the characters.

Comedies that follow the antics of strange chibi girls.

Pure moe and kawaii, both of them are very relaxing and good to watch after day of hard work.

Similar feeling and humour, both of them are from J.C.Staff. Also chibi Minorin with flower on her head remainds me of Potemayo.

"Sugar" has a cute protagonist who is somewhat of a brat. This series is A LOT less Otaku-oriented than "Potemayo" and is one of the very few Anime series out there that is appropriate for any age. In other words, it's very much like a G-Rated movie.

Both anime are about a tiny cute creature and both are very funny, though pugyuru will seem a tiny bit more twisted.

Random jokes, cuteness and very funny too.

Same style and target.

Both anime have cute characters and mix otherwise normal slice-of-life comedy with strange and fantastic events and beings to spice things up a bit. Potemayo has somewhat more subtle humor, but that's more down to how over the top Nichijou is with its humor than Potemayo being "normal".

The shows have a similar moeblob art style, mostly focus on slice-of-life cuteness, and have an ever so slight edge to their comedic sensibilities.

Dokuro-chan seems more extreme in it's humor and parodyishness. Potemayo has the same feel, a bit more loving, and is just more adorable and innocent.
