If you've finished HxH and have been looking for a shounen that uses logic instead of friendship to win battles, has a well thought-out battle system, with strategic fight sequences, and a lovable yet badass white-haired protagonist, World Trigger is the next stop for you. I was floored when I first came across this as a HxH fan and I'm sure you'll like it too. Mind the TOEI filler tho.

Both of those anime are about a Gate which suddenly appeared in Japan, and monsters came out of it. In both of them the monsters are pushed back and even the people go to the other world to fight and investigate

In both these series we have a main character (Kafka in Kaijuu no.8 and Yuuma in World Trigger) who joins a military-like Defense Force, while technically being the enemy that the Defense Force fights against (Kafka is a Kaijuu and Yuuma is a Neighbour)! And there's also that other main character (Ichikawa in Kaijuu no.8 and Mikumo in World Trigger) who learns about the secret and helps the other to cover it up. Also, Kaijuu and Neighbours are monsters that no one expects to be humanoid, at first. Despite this very similar premise, both series handle the situation in very different ways, so if you enjoyed one,  read more

Similar in many ways: Hollow = Trion Soldiers Arrancar = Neighbor Seireitei = Border The only major difference is Bleach have only 1 protagonist(Ichigo) while World Trigger have 2 protagonists(Yuma and Osamu/dual protagonist sort of thing)

The protagonist in Black Clover is of unknown origin and is mostly useless when it comes to the standard form of fighting, both characteristics are each that of the two protagonists in World Trigger. Secondary cast features an over powered cute girl; also in Black Clover; as well as over powered senpai; also in Black Clover. The two shows also share a similar voice cast.

There are several things these shows have in common, namely: 1. Both shows are about humans being under siege, in OnS it's by vampires, and in WT it's by "Neighbours". In OnS most of humanity has been wiped out, but in WT it's never really made clear if the damage only applies to that specific area in the world or if there are other places. 2. Both shows feature main "companies" that were created to defeat these enemies: OnS: Moon Demon Company - WT: Border 3. Both shows have similar enemies, that also are similar in power/strength: Weaker ones: OnS: 4 Horsemen of John - WT: Trion Soldiers Strong ones: OnS: Noble  read more

The same situation where people with extra ordinary abilities whose weaponry also came from alien tech, where they use it to battle beings or creatures from another world.

A lot of characters, powers and the ninjas organize themselves in a similar way than the Border

We all have an idol, that someone who pushes us to overcome our weaknesses, like these protagonists, who want to learn. At his side, a veteran, who supported him from the front or back, a cheerful girl with great potential, a boy with inherited abilities with wounds without being erased. Two series where there are unique abilities, powerful rivals, lifelong partners fighting for the same goal and opponents who hide in the shadows.

Both anime are about a town being attacked by giant, non-human creatures that humanity didn't originally have the technology to fight. The Titans in Shingeki no Kyojin are like the Neighbors in World Trigger, and the Scouting Legion is like Border.

Well I guess I've only seen 1 ep of Qualidea Code, but so far it has lots of similarities to World Trigger. The main characters of World Trigger are more sympathetic, and there are a lot more characters in general, but otherwise superpowers, alien invaders etc the same.

Both have to do with organizations fighting otherworldly? beings and one of the otherworldly beings in on the human side and kinda op

Boku no Hero Academy S2 and World Trigger: Both have a arc dedicated to demonstrating their abilities, which will use it to fulfill their goals, in a competition, where they fight against their allies, until they get that satisfaction of being part of a force majeure, and protect people by themselves, either together or separately. Unlike BnH, World Trigger skills are not that much of a difference, but like BnH, there are some with particularities, powers or abilities that make them different from the rest. The main protagonists are partly similar: Okumo (WT) and Deku (BnH): They possess their notorious weaknesses, but struggle every day to be stronger. Chika (WT)  read more

Both including monster from another dimension. And a group of people trying to stop them

Yuuma is just like the main hero from Regios: come to inferior world and possess insanely strong abilities. Both charas also battles in groups.

Military organizations and their hierarchies play a big role on both animes. You may find some similarity between the main characters backstory too.

Earth is constantly under siege from otherworldly entities. An organization is formed with task of repelling incoming attacks. Protagonist joins such organization.

-Both anime has concept of multiple Earths/worlds and sci-fi based. -Enemy from different Earth comes to this Earth and people fights it. In World Trigger,it's people in Border Defense fights with a special weapon called "trigger." In Bokurano,it's 15 kids fights with a huge robot called "Zearth"

Both main characters have only started their special school. One is about demons and the other is about humanoid aliens. both mains have a "little helper" and both are "of the wrong side". without spoiling anything else i would say they both seem a lot alike.

In both anime, the main characters rely on the powers of other people but somehow protect what needs to be protected.

Both are very similar. The plot is a bit different but still almost the same. They are both about beings from another dimension invading earth.

Only difference is theme in my opinion. Food Wars: -is using meals to fight each other. -has a ranking system. -MC isn't liked by majority at the beginning. World trigger: -is basically same. -they use swords to fight each other.

The stories both revolve around highschool students wich follow the goal of protecting humanity and their loved ones from the antagonists of each series. While they have some in common they do have some in uncommon, like the love story between Shinichi and his girl, a love story that isn't in WorTri but a story of Osamu doing all he can to protect Chika wich is like a little sister to him.
report Recommended by NightBloom69
Both series have universal weapons which every character can and does use. Triggers for WT and bombs for Btooom. Each individual could win in a battle and the winner depends on who has the better tactics.

Its very hard seeing cute innocent children being the vocal point when it comes to fighting insanely powerful ugly monsters, but both of these anime's do just that. The children in both stories show with the right motivations anything can be achieved when it seems hopeless with no end insight. The two narratives show an amazing heartwarming and emotional ride between the children as they set out to take on what seems impossible.

If you're looking for some sci-fi, then Houseki no Kuni and World Trigger will definitely inspire you with some of its imaginatively. Both series includes a theme of invasion from outside forces. And from that invasion, there is battles and wars that are fought. Both series has fantasy elements as well as bits of mystery especially in regards with the invaders.

just similar atmosphere i guess, its never really to serious.

Both shows protagonist are voiced by the same actor. The worlds both shows are set in have similar characteristics, they share a somewhat similar style of comedy, power systems are somewhat similar as well (a general theme that plays around with the established rules to make for interesting combat dynamics).

- Aiko Tachibana = Chika Amatori Both can sense and attract the "monsters" - Akiko Nanbara = Kido Masamune Same role and even the exact same table pose(A.I.C.O Opening) - Yuuya Kanzaki = Yuuma Kuga Both protagonists are someone special - Burst = Invasion - Gates (but WT is dimensional) - Malignant = Neighbor (sorta) - Diver = Border Agent

the personality of mc in this two anime is similar. They have strategic skill and make effort from zero without some instant power-ups.
report Recommended by megmica
The art styles slightly remind me of each other, but probably what does so more are the highly unique/eccentric characters. From a loli that wants to conquer the world to a super smug sci-fi kid.
report Recommended by Chdata
Both anime have these 'space quakes' in which beings from another dimension seem to appear from. The cities where these quakes have adapted to them happening and people otherwise live their same old lives since before they started happening, though people do have to evacuate every time they happen. Oh, and some really weird people tend to come from that other dimension.
report Recommended by Chdata
In both anime unknown creatures attack the city and school kids have powers to fight them. In both series the protagonist aims to become a hero and save everyone from the chaos. The mystery element is strong in both series.

Yuuki Yuuna and Kuga Yuuma has a similar attack pattern such as demonic hyper ultra punch, that can bring down one monster in one punch... Yuuki Yuuna and Kuga Yuuma cares for her/his best comerades both share the same justice role and save people from some creature both transform before fighting, and still unmasked even transformed (lol) I just hope for some male characters appear in Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru, then it would be compared~

Both series have creatures who come from another dimension that terrorizes the human race. Both series have a group of individuals who come to defend the people from these monsters. Both Main characters are very gifted and powerful however they are laid back and lazy, only fighting when it is necessary. Both Narratives have Action, school, supernatrual, comedy, and Fantasy genre components.
report Recommended by Obeythealfa
Both of them are similar because in both animes there are monsters who came into the human's world and start attacking. In both of them the humanity strikes back and defends itself. In both of them there's something unnatural which can defeat the monsters (in world trigger it's Trion, in Black Bullet it's the cursed children).
report Recommended by dadnaya
In both anime people awaken a power and make special weapons to help them fight inter-dimensional beings and save the world from them. The main characters form a team to hunt more efficiently the inter-dimensional beings.

OP MC's Large organisation with ranks S,A,B,C Main goal for the MC's is to reach the top rank. Lots of combat mixed with a fair share of comedy.
report Recommended by sparkzz323
These two are about teenagers that have some kind of power/weappons to defeat a huge crisis in the world, caused by some kind of monsters. For power-up they say a similar quote, "trigger on"(World Trigger) and "Hundred-on"(Hundred).

Both shows feature Magic-Oriented combat from an extremely strategic and technical Hard Sci-fi approach. Both shows are character driven with fun supporting casts
report Recommended by Unkn0wnfear
Interesting shows in a futuristic setting, both have characters that use guns and fight with each other. They also have a militaristic system of rankings set in a school. Lots of action and sci-fi elements present in both.
report Recommended by BaptizED
Kuga (WT) and Ibiki (Chaos Dragon) looks very similar. However they act as opposites, their goal is pretty much the same. Also, both anime's start off as light-Cute-Funny anime's. However, early on through the anime it begins to turn 'Dark'. Instead of your happy-cute-fun Anime, we have a hint that the anime isn't exactly all Fun & Games, and we begin to see the true colors of World Trigger. Both MC's seek for revenge, for a fallen loved one.
report Recommended by B3astpwn
There is “gate” in both anime. There are different ability level in human and in teams, some are high level and some are low level. Both are action, adventure, fast paced, good drama anime.
