Both take place in a fantasy world full of magic and sorcery. There's plenty of action and comedy. Gokudo and Lina's personalities are a bit similar to each other...definitely not the goody-goody hero type.

A fantasy world with a greedy hero and a funny party.

The main character's are imature and perve's. Plus there's alway's one girl that seem to become head over heals for this type of character.

It´s pretty old but it´s good. Konosuba that is a parody of popular present genre: The guy which travel to a medieval-fantasy game or world. As Konosuba, Gokudou-kun is parody about series like Slayers (popular in the 90s). And both has the same characteristics: powerless main characters, not serious plot, awkward moments, etc...

Both anime are revolve around anti hero characters and takes place in a medieval fantasy world where demons and magic exist. They both have a good amount of action and comedy while dealing with serious themes. Not to mention they both have a similar 90's art style.

Both are lighthearted adventure comedies from the 90's starring chaotic groups of friends with selfish goals causing tons of accidental destruction in high fantasy worlds. Those Who Hunt Elves has main the difference of being an Isekai, although, that isn't revealed until episode 2. Also unlike in Gokudo, the protagonists have a far more wholesome relationship.

guru guru is pretty unique in the anime landscape of 2017, but it reminds me a whole lot of gokudo. since it is a remake of another show from the 90s, i guess that makes sense. at a time animes with standard rpg plots were more frequent than not, both shows parody the simplistic story, and mock the usual manicheism and cheesiness, involving some pretty regressive comedy. so if you're looking for another entertaining comedy/adventure anime that's not as dumb as it looks, and you don't mind the 90s feel, gokudo is the way to go!

I'm incredibly surprised that no one has compared these 2 yet. Epic adventure with great comedy moments & fun characters. They share heavy fantasy worlds in a medieval setting.

Louie and Company embark on fantastic journeys, much like Gokudo and his troupe. There's magic, sorcery, comic moments, and surprises around every corner. Both fit nicely into the action/adventure/fantasy genre.

Both are fantasy anime where main characters have to go on a journey. Fights, magic and dragons involved.

These animes both have a main character constantly lusting after other girls without realizing that theres a hot girl who loves them right there! although in one the main character is completely evil but is way more funny there both very enjoyable animes if u like the whole greed/magic/old times plot

Gokudou-kun Manyuuki does have more rare, non-comedic moments while Hamelin no Violin Hiki: The Movie has a unique incorporation of music into its universe, but they’re unmistakably cut from the same comedic fantasy and adventure cloths. These titles feature a rather crass and rowdy character, accompanied by a group of fellow oddballs, on a mission. Their comedy runs on slapstick humor and the often over-the-top or helplessly deadpan ways both casts react to the faults and actions of others. One might recognize that the same lighthearted and silly tone in Hamelin is present in Gokudou.

Both anime take place in a fantasy world and they have a similar sense of humour. The characters are pretty wacky and they get involved in all sorts of crazy situations.
