Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku

I normally love these kinds of shows because they sweep me up in their drama. I laugh, I hope, and I cry with the characters and their antics—it’s a natural engagement that speaks more to my heart than my head. But it didn’t happen with Oregairu. For some reason, I wasn’t on the same page as this show, and even when I was trying to pay attention, I couldn’t follow what was going on. I found the characters unrelatable, their motivations unrealistic, the results of their actions illogical. I went to the forums after every episode to get a second opinion, to better understand what ... exactly the conflicts even were and why each character was behaving the way they were. And in the end, I came away with a newfound appreciation of the show as a whole, just from a more deliberate, academic perspective than an internally-resonant one.

It’s hard for me to rate an anime based on such an unorthodox method of engagement. I could point at the uneven dialogue pacing that failed to loop me in, or the suspension of disbelief that I failed to maintain, but neither “problem” pushed me away from wanting to watch another episode. I plan to finish the series, and that, I believe, is an endorsement. Maybe this show will be for you, and you’ll simply have a great time with it. Or maybe not, but you could still have a great time anyway.

The second season of my teen romantic comedy is Something quite different from the first. While the first season was mostly comedy without romance, the second season is a Genuine reversal with very little comedy and lots of romance (drama).

Something I Genuinely did not like in the first season were the ways in which Hachiman 'solved' problems and the consequences of these solutions. This is Something that continues in the second season and leads to very strained relationships between the characters which made the anime Genuinely painful to watch at times and left little room for the comedy of the first season. So you were ... basically just watching characters awkwardly interact for most of the season.
Eventually the characters do get past part of this awkwardness but they replace it with being extremely unclear and vague. Hachiman will claim to be looking for "Something Genuine" but it is never really clear what this is. Near the end of the season lots of conversations become progressively unclear. A character will say Something vague and another will agree with implicit understanding. There's quite a few of these moments and they're Genuinely impossible to understand even though I paid a lot of attention during the entire anime and replayed the scenes multiple times so I'm not even sure if they're meant to be understood at all.
So basically instead of the comedy of the first season we now have drama, awkwardness and unclearness.

The characters are mostly the same as in the first season with a few new ones and basically all the previous characters return in this season. Lots of characters are given way more personality in the drama of this second season and the dynamic is Something that can become tricky to follow at times but it is also kind of neat to see all the connections. The three main characters suffer from awkwardness and a terminal inability to properly voice their feelings so I'm Genuinely not sure whether I thought I knew them better after the first season or the second one. Basically all the side characters get some kind of development and turn into more interesting characters. The only exception to this is Yukino's sister who seems to have absolute authority for some reason.

The animation, voice acting and music were the same or similar as the first season.

Overall the second season isn't a bad anime but the switch from comedy to drama is Something very drastic and it means you might not enjoy this season even if you liked the first one. For me it was at times Genuinely stressful to watch because of the awkwardness and lack of clearness.
Consider watching this second season if you don't mind the shift away from comedy, like the characters and don't care about understanding what "Something Genuine" is supposed to mean.

Wtf is season 2 first they ruin the cahrecter design the music becomes asssss the va is so much lamer. It's so cringe and lame now what happened to the comedy part ilused to laugh at this show now im torturing myself trying to finnish it wtf happened to hachiman wtf they ruin this show with so much bs. They need tk remake s2 and prolly s3 too but I'm not up to that yet. Doubt I'll bother if it's as ass as s2. Shame cuz s1 was super enjoyable

If you enjoy soppy lame depressing bleak ... bland charecters and plots with no developments across 12 episodes aside from one dude realising hey maybe we should discuss what where thinking then maybe you'd dislike it less then me no garentees tho
