This is a music video for one of the many openings of the first season of fairy tail.
The music video is 360p but looks pretty reasonable regardless. The story in the music video is pretty esoteric and I didn't really understand what was happening or if it is even supposed to be a coherent story.
The song itself is pretty alright and its feel matched quite nicely with the atmosphere in the music video.
Overall it's just a three-and-a-half-minute long music video and the best way to determine whether you want to watch it is by watching/listening to the first 20 seconds.

Fairy tail isn't an anime. It's a psyop meant to condition you to cry to the theme song and I can personally attest to its effectiveness.
There's a lot of good and a lot of bad things about fairy tail. To start with one of the good ones; the magic system is very fun. There's a huge amount of characters and basically all of them have different unique forms of magic. If you can imagine a form of magic, it probably exists in fairy tail. All these different forms of magic are powered by magic power which can run out but can also be drawn
...
from strong emotion which lends some credence to the "Good guys somehow beat stronger bad guys with power of family/friendship" trope which most certainly is present.
The story revolves around a guild of wizards who deals with a bunch of problems that are all related to an ancient dark wizard called Zeref. It's not too complicated and the world seems interesting enough with important details provided well in advance so you can piece the story together yourself.
Some bad things are that the anime struggles with properly dealing with countdown timers, of which it has quite a few. For example, a timer is at seven minutes and the characters are talking (scene switches and switches back), the characters are still at the same point in their conversation but now the timer is at four minutes and they start fighting (scene switches and switches back), the characters have just started fighting but the timer is at 90 seconds. They same problem exists with speed where some characters get to a location way faster or slower than they're supposed to compared to other faster/slower characters. This seems like a minor thing to point out but it happens a lot and can be annoying.
Another important thing to note is the amount of "fanservice" in this anime. The anime is absolutely overflowing with it and you need to be able to tolerate or enjoy it or it'll get painful to watch real quick. On the other hand there's a few episodes in which the "butt jiggle gang", which revolves around butt and fart jokes makes an appearance which makes me very confused about what the target audience of this anime even is.
There's also a lot of comedy which is sometimes funny.
There's a lot of different characters in the anime which is nice because you can see all the different kinds of magic they use. Most of the characters are very one dimensional and only have one real trait or speech quirk that defines them. The advantage of the length of the anime is that the important characters get lots of development with fleshed out personalities the further you go. The way in which the characters develop is well paced and they don't just traumadump their entire backstory all at once. One of the characters is quite confusing though, if you watch the anime I wish you the best of luck figuring out who jellal is.
The animation is a bit old compared to more recent anime but is still very much suitable for the fairy tail. It isn't super pretty but it is very expressive and the fights are dynamic with lots of cool looking magic. A neat quirk of the animation is that in some random shots there are unrelated colourful creatures in the background and it's fun to look for them while watching the anime/reading the subtitles.
The voice acting is good and the music is often great. As I was trying to indicate with my first sentence, the music adds a lot to the anime and you start to associate epic/sad scenes with some of the themes which has led to me basically being able to cry on command when listening to them which is pretty cool.
Overall I think that fairy tail has an okay story with cool magic and lots of cool moments with a pretty fun cast of characters. There are a lot of things that can put someone off from watching fairy tail though such as the excessive fan service and some parts of the comedy like the butt jiggle gang (seriously look up an image of these guys) so it's clearly not for everyone.
If you do end up watching this then I highly recommend skipping the huge variety of different openings that the anime has since this will save you about 4 hours and tons of spoilers.

This is a lovely second season and the only problem I have with it is that it ended, leaving me to wonder what will happen next.
The story continues where the first season left off, Akane, Aqua and Kana being cast for the Tokyo Blade musical. The way in which the story continues is different though, you're dropped straight into the rehearsals and preparation for the musical. Any form of revenge plot takes a back seat while the anime instead focusses on how the showbiz works, character flashbacks/backstories and acting - this was one of the most entertaining things I've ever had the pleasure to
...
watch. After this part of the anime the main plot continues, you remember why Aqua joined the musical in the first place and Ruby can start doing idol stuff again now that Kana isn't acting all the time. This results in B-komachi recording a music video and the revenge plot advancing a lot in unexpected ways and is fun or interesting to watch. The only "problem" I have with this part is that it really leaves you to wonder how the story will continue but you'll have to wait for the third season for answers.
The characters are great. There are quite a few side-characters that don't have much of a personality and are just there to give their lines but the characters that the story deems important enough are characterised nicely. This season had quite a few backstories/flashbacks that added a lot to some characters and there was quite a bit of character development too throughout the season, even in very unexpected yet interesting directions. After this season Akane is now officially my favourite character in anything I've watched/read.
The animation was once again gorgeous. The animation was beautiful, the characters looked amazing and the eyes were simply the best. The eyes were detailed, pretty and expressive and I loved everything about them. There were also a few very creative and abstract animation sequences that I thought were really cool but have no clue how to describe and the music video was animated exactly how you'd expect a music video to look. Overall I think the animation is even better than the first season. The music and sound were great even though season one outshines this one with the fame of it's opening "Idol". The voice acting was very good and expressive.
Overall this is a great second season. Even though it ignored the main plot for a bit, it was still massively entertaining and it still had time to add some interesting twists and turns to the plot after the Tokyo Blade musical. The animation is some of the best out there and the characters are great, 100% recommended.

The third season of that time I reincarnated as a slime, while having a bit less action, is still a great anime with amazing empire building.
The start of the third season is the moment that Rimuru and his federation are finally somewhat stable now that they don't have to live in constant fear of what the demon lords may do. This doesn't mean all trouble is over. Far from it, in fact. There are still many groups that would rather see Tempest wiped off the face of the planet. In this season it becomes clear who those people actually are and what roles they
...
have been playing behind the scenes in the previous seasons as well. In the first half of this season they launch another attack on Rimuru but the second season is mostly about Tempest having a festival and inviting all foreign powers they are friends with. Both are great arcs in their own right and I appreciate that the story progression is quite logical and full of good decisions.
The characters are great. Basically all the characters that you saw in the previous seasons all still have a role to play. And even though there's a shitload of them, quite a lot of characters actually grow a bit and have some character development. This is nice since it makes you feel like everyone is growing along with the story. Of course most characters are still very one dimensional but if you dislike a few of them because of that then it won't matter because the sheer amount of different ones will make sure that the ones you hate won't be on screen for most of the time.
The animation, voice acting and sound were the same or similar to the previous seasons. There were noticeably fewer battles this season though which means that there was less fancy looking animation and less cool attack sound effects.
Overall I think that this is a great third season. If you like any kind of empire building and are invested in slime's world then you'll certainly enjoy this season. If you only enjoyed the battles/action then this season will probably be quite a drag to watch because of the sheer amount of dialogue. In that case it might be better to hold off on watching this to see if season four brings you action that could make the worldbuilding worth it for you.

This OVA feels like an additional episode to the final season. The voice acting, animation and sound are all the same as the third season and it takes place at the start of the final year.
A negative about this OVA is that there is yet more drama. especially with regard to Yui's feelings but this isn't nearly as bad as the actual seasons. Luckily there is also quite a few scenes devoid of drama that just have everyone interacting in a nice, non-stressful way. It's fun to watch and reminds me of the first season.
Overall I recommend watching this because it's more pleasant
...
to end the anime on some positive scenes rather than what simply felt like the end of the drama.

The final season of Oregairu is quite similar to the second season. If you liked the second season, you'll probably like this too, if you didn't, strongly consider whether you want to sit through more of the same.
The setting for most of this season is the student council, and by extension the volunteer club, attempting to organise a prom. Within this setting the story is not much different though. There's still lots of drama and communication that is at times frankly impossible to understand. There's quite a lot of cringy moments but I think that's somewhat normal for romance anime. Something positive is that
...
there seemed to be a bit more comedy again this season making it slightly easier to watch than season 2. Another thing that this season has going for it is that it's the final season so you know that at least something will happen.
The side characters were great with the exception of yukinoshita's family. The main characters however were still not great. Their communication didn't make sense, and it became very hard to understand what they were thinking. Also some of the conversations that they had in public made me feel second-hand embarrassment for the side-characters that were in the room with them.
The animation was okay. There were a few scenes with non-intrusive CG but I think overall it looked slightly better than season 2. The voice acting/music were the same or similar as the previous seasons.
Overall you'll probably enjoy this if you liked the second season but if you only suffered while watching that then this season will also end up with you pausing to take breaks to digest the sheer amount of cringe or bullshit happening on screen, or at least that's how it was for me.
PS - Don't let this anime gaslight you into believing that "Yahallo" is an acceptable greeting irl. Don't use it. People will stare at you. Trust me.

This OVA for the second season is a single normal episode. Most of the time in this episode is taken up by Hachiman going on a 'date' with Iroha and near the end when Yukino and Yui see a picture he goes on a short date with them too. That's the entire OVA. There's no drama and it's really chill compared to the second season.
The characters are the ones described in the paragraph above. The animation, voice acting and music are the same as or similar to the second season.
It doesn't really add anything to the story aside from maybe shedding a bit
...
more light on Iroha and doesn't seem like it's required to understand the story. It is however a nice break from the awkwardness/drama so I'd recommend watching it because of that.

The second season of my teen romantic comedy is Something quite different from the first. While the first season was mostly comedy without romance, the second season is a Genuine reversal with very little comedy and lots of romance (drama).
Something I Genuinely did not like in the first season were the ways in which Hachiman 'solved' problems and the consequences of these solutions. This is Something that continues in the second season and leads to very strained relationships between the characters which made the anime Genuinely painful to watch at times and left little room for the comedy of the first season. So you were
...
basically just watching characters awkwardly interact for most of the season.
Eventually the characters do get past part of this awkwardness but they replace it with being extremely unclear and vague. Hachiman will claim to be looking for "Something Genuine" but it is never really clear what this is. Near the end of the season lots of conversations become progressively unclear. A character will say Something vague and another will agree with implicit understanding. There's quite a few of these moments and they're Genuinely impossible to understand even though I paid a lot of attention during the entire anime and replayed the scenes multiple times so I'm not even sure if they're meant to be understood at all.
So basically instead of the comedy of the first season we now have drama, awkwardness and unclearness.
The characters are mostly the same as in the first season with a few new ones and basically all the previous characters return in this season. Lots of characters are given way more personality in the drama of this second season and the dynamic is Something that can become tricky to follow at times but it is also kind of neat to see all the connections. The three main characters suffer from awkwardness and a terminal inability to properly voice their feelings so I'm Genuinely not sure whether I thought I knew them better after the first season or the second one. Basically all the side characters get some kind of development and turn into more interesting characters. The only exception to this is Yukino's sister who seems to have absolute authority for some reason.
The animation, voice acting and music were the same or similar as the first season.
Overall the second season isn't a bad anime but the switch from comedy to drama is Something very drastic and it means you might not enjoy this season even if you liked the first one. For me it was at times Genuinely stressful to watch because of the awkwardness and lack of clearness.
Consider watching this second season if you don't mind the shift away from comedy, like the characters and don't care about understanding what "Something Genuine" is supposed to mean.

This OVA is basically just an extra episode of the first season and it has has the same characters, animation, voice acting and music.
It doesn't seem like this OVA adds anything to the story so you don't have to watch it if you only care about the main storyline. Instead it seems this was made to have girl's wear wedding dresses (that they conveniently had lying around at school).
The story is about the teacher coming to the service club because she needs help writing something for a marriage event. She can't do this herself since she isn't married so she asks high school
...
students instead. This somehow leads to a 'wife contest' with lots of comedy.
Since it's basically just another episode, you'll like this if you enjoyed the first season, you won't like this if you didn't like the first season.

Welcome to My Teen Romantic Comedy where there's finally a main cast consisting solely of characters with alliterative names featuring: Hachiman Hikigaya, Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama.
These three main characters make up the romantic part of this romantic comedy though admittedly nothing really happens on that front during this first season. The side characters are very unrealistic for comedic reasons. There's a little sister who rates her own quotes, a teacher who resorts to physical violence, world's most masculine tennis player, an extreme case of eighth-grader syndrome and an obsessive yaoi enthousiast. These characters are quite silly but they do make the anime fun to
...
watch. What I enjoyed most however was the dialogue between Hachiman and Yukino, they're both deranged in their own ways and watching them interact is quite fun.
The story is quite simple and is about Hachiman being forced by his teacher to join the service club, a club that only Yukino a member of. This is a volunteer club where they help people with any problems they have and they're quickly joined by Yui after they help her. The entire anime just revolves around activities in this club without a specific goal or direction. A negative part of the story is that Hachiman, because of his 'eccentric' personality tends to solve problems in ways that are painful to watch.
The animation is good enough. It isn't the most beautiful and there's quite a few scenes where characters look weird because they're far away but it's fine since you're reading the subtitles anyway. The voice acting is good and managed to convey nuance where conversations needed it.
Overall this is a fun anime to watch. While there isn't a lot of romance, there is a lot of comedy and it is just fun to see how Hachiman and Yukino interact.
