Same director, similar formula to the episodes, almost identical setting with a main difference being the tone of the shows. In my opinion Space Dandy takes itself a lot less seriously than Bebop. The humour and spontaneity are some of both of the shows greatest strengths. Both have lovable characters and interesting plot lines.

Artistic, stylish, colorful, contemplative, fantastical stories about exploring worlds and different ways of life in the universe. Dandy is much more comedic but can share some of the heartfelt moments of Kaiba. A few episodes of Dandy look straight out of Kaiba. Both series take such beautiful and courageous liberty with their art direction.

Both are sci-fi around a main character and weird things that happends around them. Without their consent, they have enormous power, ability to rule over the universe, but instead they try to do what they want most of the time. Both anime are creative, something new, and both are trippy. While End of Evangelion is more psychological, Space Dandy 2nd is more comedy.

(As Nihon Animator Mihonichi is collection of unrelated stories, this recommendation is only for Me!Me!Me! part.) Both start as something nice, happy but a plot twist happens and here you go on an acid trip. Both have sexuall undertone, which is heavier in Me!Me!Me!. If you liked one, you´ll like the other one.

"Space☆Dandy 2nd Season" and "Blood Blockade Battlefront" / "Kekkai Sensen" involve an odd group of people from various backgrounds having random and wacky adventures. In these two comedy heavy action series, disastrous events are often played for laughs and many things go by the rule of cool. In worlds where monsters and aliens are common, the protagonist from both series is frequently getting into trouble and left to fend for himself. Furthermore, the lead character from these two series have something special that make many opponents chase after him.

“Space☆Dandy 2nd Season” and “Seihou Tenshi Angel Links” are science fiction action series surrounding an odd crew operating a space ship that adventures to random places in the galaxy. On these adventures, the cast of characters get into shenanigans that lead them into awkward situations and, of course, trouble. The lead character from both shows are headstrong and often makes sudden decisions on important matters without giving much thought. Furthermore, these two anime dance around the subject of romance regarding the main characters but it is never the direct focus of the show.

One is a bounty hunter, the other is a federal agent, but they both hunt alien. Action packed series with old school vibes, strong SF pulp influences, groovy soundtrack and really stylish animation. Significant efforts have been put in these two underrated gems.

Because I think so ;) Fun space anime, carefree badass main characters. Other fun characters, but more steady plot in it.

Both are fairly episodic, Panty and stocking less so, but both have off the walls humor that keeps you laughing long after the credits roll.

With many episodes from these two series individually dedicated to explore a random theme in particular as well as the variety of tones and situations between each episode, these two shows were both wild rides in their own right, especially considering their over-the-top finales. Furthermore, Action and Comedy are commonalities between these two series.
