The raw fighting style and pure all-out battle have a very similar feel. Even the character designs and animation seem similar to each other. Both are excellent fighting animes with a touch of comedy.

Like the mind-blowing ( combat ) moves? Then you will definitely love this series. Both Ikki and Maki make wonderfull moves in the air. If you like the one, you will like the other.

Not very similar but both of them are comedy and have lots of fights, i really enjoyed both of them.

They both have strong female fighters. In both animes, there are people who want to beat them. They both also have a lot of fighting scenes (Not as much as Fighting Beaty Wulong though.) Well, In short, Both of them are REALLY good!

Both are very ridiculous in fighting style and the characters are all macho

Do you LOVE to be hyped while watching awesome somewhat realistic martial arts and such? Do you feel like you wanna jump right out and kick some thugs arses?... Well both series will indeed provide you with that feeling. Both being in totally completely different settings and artstyle but they still have really awesome fights and both being dark, but of course Afro Samurai being more darker because of no comedy(or only dark comedy) while Air Master still have some more lighthearted comedy.

Airmaster is a bit more illogical with its fights, but you get to see some really cool action sequences. The drawing isn't that great, but if your looking for a decent fighting anime (not sports) give this a try. You won't be disapointed!

(Recommendation is for air master if you watched hajime no ippo) If you're like me you enjoy a good fighting anime once in awhile and really you're only choices are this History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, ayane's high kick or baki the grappler, and i couldn't recommend those without a heavy heart. I stopped watching Air master because I didn't believe it good enough to waste my time reading subtitles every so often (found a website that had half subbed and half dubbed every other episode). But if you don't mind reading subs and enjoy a good fighting anime i would definitely recommend it.

This two animes contain a lot of fighting styles and the fight scenes are very impressive. Tenjou Tenge is a little more supernatural than Air Master.

both have extremely strong fighters and slightly head strong.

A broad satire of the the action anime with well aimed shots at super-heroes, pro wrestlers and action stars along the way .

Both involve the main character fighting to become the strongest in a fighting competition. Many have wondered what the outcome would be in a fight between Hanma Baki and Aikawa Maki.

Like the main character Maki, in kaleido star there is a lot of gymnastics. Maki who fights using gymnastic like movements is like the bold and strong maneuvers in kaleido star

The only thing similar between these 2 series is that there is fighting in both, but the fighting unlike in most series here is 'till one of the fighters is dead or unconscious and lying in a sea of blood.
