Both are focused on action in a tropical foreign setting and have characters being placed far from home situations and they must adapt to the new environment in order to survive and both have amoral mercenaries who often leave chaos and havoc everywhere they go as well too.

Two law enforcement-themed movies featuring exciting fight sequences, amazing visuals, and wonderful soundtracks. The plots work fine on their own, and are elevated by the genius crafting of their respective universes' sci-fi settings.

Both movies are sequels to sci-fi series where our heroes travel to a country that's employing a system that decides the lives of people from the moment they're born, but as dark secrets come to light, they're forced back into battle

Both movies are full of action, cyberpunk, sci-fi weapons and gadgets, with a few high-quality hand-to-hand combat scenes, both have a female protagonist and what left of civilization is controlled by an artificial intelligence system that decides what is best for people, but the methods are questionable and those questions are raised by the female protagonist in her dangerous journey.
