Both anime revolves around a girl who lives in a shrine and has the power to see the inari's that live in the shrine, both are daily life events and are cute and funny at times.

Similarities: Both involves girl and deity relationship. Both were set in a shire. Both have the same supernatural genre. Dissimilarities: The girl to deity relationship in one anime has a romance vibe, while the other was more of an elder to younger kind of thing. The deity in one anime has a tsundere attitude, while the deity in the other anime is a bit lazy. The girl in one anime is sweet, kind and shy, while in the other anime is also sweet, kind but stupid.

Natsume Yuujinchou and Gingitsune gives off a supernatural and slice of life feeling in a story filled with serene atmosphere. The main characters from both series possesses the ability to see what others cannot. What they see though is a supernatural being whom they have an odd relationship with. However, they often are able to collaborate together to serve their communities and bring peace to their worlds. There is lighthearted comedy, meaningful dialogues, and fun interactions between various characters.

Both are slice of life style animes revolving around young girls in the Shinto system. While Gingitsune is about a hereditary priestess in high school, Kamichu is about a middle school girl who wakes up one day as a god. Both have charming storylines that revolve around the trials and travails of coming of age.

There are some similar concepts, like old Japanese deity figures and characters living among human beings. However, unlike Gingitsune, the deity in Wagaya no Oinari-sama can be seen by anyone, so instead, the deity has chosen to live and take part in a human lifestyle -- running stores, being part of organisations and similar situations. In Gingitsune, only those who are a part of a certain family line can see the deities inhabiting the various temples around the country. Bot shows are basically based around young children/teenagers and the relationship they form with the deity/semi-deity characters that make up the other half of the cast, and  read more

Fruits Basket and Gingitsune involve a modern-life setting mixed with presence supernatural beings. The main female characters get involved with these beings as they come to understand them. The atmospheres of both series are similar and involve character relationships. Fruits Basket adds a taste of romance to its story, while Gingitsune generally maintains a slice-of-life tone. There is drama, comedy, and sometimes more emotions that come to surface. The settings of both series are also similar.

Wait, Kotoura plays in another anime! Nope, its just Gingitsune. The MC personality seems to overlaps one another, Kotoura and Makoto is like two same person in different parallel universe. They even share the same VA, Hisako Kanemoto. They both sweet to the bone that would give you diabetes. But don't hate on them, as their cuddly appearance and dreamy eyes would even melt the demon inside your heart. If you want to watch 'another' Kotoura-esque with less ecchi, Gingitsune is your answer.

Both have adorable main characters, who basically try hard to succeed in what they are doing, while developing friendships and learning to be better people, and both shows are sorta feel-good with a happy outlook on life. Nice because even if your heart gets broken a bit during the show you still end up glad you watched it. Not going to lie, Gingitsune has a more interesting premise since it deals with the supernatural, but Hanasaku Iroha is sorta like its less interesting cousin that you love anyways because its relatable.

Both shows are about a talking animal god with white fur forming a bond with a young and innocent human. Both series explore the relationship of this unlikely pair and how the presence of the animal god in the human's life helps them to make friends, overcome social anxiety. Both shows are immensely heartwarming and filled with kindhearted protagonists who do the best by everyone. Animal lovers will enjoy both shows for the many cute and fluffy animals the main character befriends.

Uchouten Kazoku (Eccentric Family) and Gingitsune have similar styles and settings in modern times. They both also consist of characters of supernatural lore. Both series consist of engaging dialogues with a sense of melancholy mixed with drama, comedy, and emotions. There are also times when character interactions seem quite realistic despite have fantasy tones. Both series' main characters like to help others, but at the same time, find themselves in trouble in these slice-of-life fantasy stories.

Makoto's personality is very similar to Kobato. Loving, caring, and always find the good inside people's heart. Gintarou and Ioroyogi are so similar. Protecting their partner and always getting mad at them XD. Cool and powerful. They may fight and get on each others nerve, but in the end of the day it's all good.

Our main heroine can see spirits/yokai. Both are a priestess. Mediators between human and spirits/yokai. Izumiko is shy while Makoto is full of energy. Satoru is giving me that Miyuki vibe. From his character design. Both of them have interest in the main heroine and will protect her.

Otome Youkai Zakuro and Gingitsune takes on the supernatural trope with the main female character possessing the ability to see and interact with spirits. Both series' main female protagonist possesses similar personalities with their haughty behavior. However, they are able to get along well with their opinion when the situation calls for it. Although their settings are different, both series gives off a mystical vibe with supernatural lore.
