Although the stories are different, they both gave me similar feeling. Both are also adaptations of original fantasy book stories.

Both have origin in book. They are fantasy stories about fighting against dark beings and searching for bright future. And both take place in a medieval settings.

The main heroine is similar in the respect that they have a fiery personality, similar wit, and obliviousness to certain social situations (notably money). They are both set in a fantasy setting.

The stories are a bit different but the feel of the stories are similar. The Naruto-Sakura relationship is very similar to the Leif-Jasmine relationship and Barda is pretty similar to Kakashi. Leif is quite like Naruto in the beginnings of the series. I think if you enjoyed this series you'll enjoy the other.

They are trying to collect seven gems for a piece of jewellery.Well i guess theres more to that but,yea they form a party, going round the place for these gems which hold certain powers and the powers are generally the same too.

Both anime have a group traveling together to find something very important (Feathers/memories in TC, gems in DQ). They meet a lot of people or creatures during their journey. Also, in both anime the boy and the girl are each other's love interest.

In both anime, the protagonists are on a journey, where they make friends, meet weird creatures, and so on. Also, both are animated by the same studio.

Both anime are pure fantasy adventure anime. Both of these shows have three friends traveling together to find and/or accomplish something. Both take place in a fantasy world with magical items, strange creatures, and unique settings.

Deltora Quest was very much written as an "RPG Book", basically the fact the story is told as how a game would play out (and it later had it's own game in Japan). Driland is based off an actual mobile game for iOS and Android. The two share the similar feel of the impending evil that is threatening the land, the going on quests for treasure, the party members, the monsters, the everything you'd find in a videogame feel. If you looking for anime that feels like it is based on a game these both have that same feel.

They both have that same predictable, Westernized, RPG-based feeling to them of a young boy coming into his powers.
