Very similiar shows through and through. - Both are about multiple romance stories - Both have short episodes - Both will give you a heartwarming experience - Both are great at the things they bring to the table, romance and slight comedy To end it, if you like Tsurezure Children, you should not hesitate about watching Koitabi.

Both of these anime are setup in an omnibus or arc format and both have just sweet love stories. Koitabi is a lot shorter but if you liked one odds are you'll appreciate the other!

Same director, similar style. Although True Tears is obviously more fleshed out, True Tours has a similar feeling and atmosphere. Interesting artwork and same use of artistic stills. Two romances with subtlety and unique aesthetic.

Both of these series are composed of mini-stories which try to promote the tourism industry in a certain region in Japan. Koitabi tries to go for a romance angle trying to invoke heartfelt emotion in the watcher to visit Nanto. While Toyama Kankou tries to go for the indie angle by having various creators with various art styles try to tell their own 'love' for Toyama. In both, each episode ends with real video and real photographs of the area that was covered to give the watcher realistic perspective.

Romantic comedies often use drawn out conflict or long unresolved sexual tension to drive narrative. Sometimes you want conflicts and tensions to be resolved quickly. You want to enjoy a couple getting together and living their lives. Koitabi: True Tours Nanto is a series of shorts with these type of narratives and Horimiya is a full series that keeps your attention without needing melodrama.
