Both are films directed by Osamu Dezaki; having distinct visuals including dramatic still shots and multiple uses of color. The characters Golgo 13 and Cobra are old school manly men who are slightly based on James Bond. These movies contain action with Golgo 13 being more traditional to American action flicks while Cobra's setting is very Star Wars inspired.

Angel Cop is a little more graphic in it's violence and gore.

While the plots of the two movies are quite different, they have many similarities. Both anime are directed by Osamu Dezaki, so their overall directing style and mood is quite similar. Also, the art and animation are quite similar as well. Apart from the style, the main characters, Duke Togo and Kuroo Hazama are also very similar. They are both professionals who operate in the underground world, and can be hired for a certain fee. While Duke Togo is a professional assassin whose job is to take lives, Kuroo Hazama is an unlicensed doctor whose job is to save lives, making the two characters two  read more

The main similarity between these two anime is the profession of the their main characters, as they are both assassins. Also, both anime contain a lot of violence and nudity. The main difference is that Ichi the Killer focuses more on the characters' psyche.

Both animes take a very special amount of care to do interesting effects with light. Both are also trashy 80s action animes, although Golgo 13 is based in the real world whereas Ai City involves lots of psychic powers.

Both anime have anti-heroic main characters, who work as guns for hire and take all kinds of jobs. Both explore similar themes, such as crime, violence, sex etc. They are both quite stylish and action-packed, and have an overall similar vibe.

Both anime represent the "noir" genre and are quite similar stylistically. Both feature anti-heroic main characters, who are very skilled at using firearms. Both contain a lot of action and nudity. Also, both anime show a glimpse of the job of contract killing.

+ MC is Anti-hero type character + High skilled combat especially with close range gun fight + Alot Gore, Blood, & Sex Scene + The assassins only work for based from contract and they will fulfill with any cost. + MC also has to deal with the betrayal by their clients + Golgo 13 & DSA client, also similar, both of them is businessman with great influence

Both are about an 80s manly man doing manly things, kicking ass and chewing bubble gum with more bullets fired than words spoken.

Both Duke Togo and John "Sleepy, Mad Bull" Estes are very big, muscular and are popular with the ladies. They are both not afraid of anything and will get the job done. Both anime are very similar in tone and content. These two old school anime titles are action-packed anime with violence, blood, gore, sex and gratuitous nudity. However Mad Bull 34 is more over the top and can be silly at times while Golgo 13: The Professional has a more serious driven plot. If you like one, you should enjoy the other.

Both contain powerful manly characters and gritty violence. Midway through the story, the focus shifts from the main character to the supporting cast as it interprets the gradual corruption of people. Such examples include revenge and religion and a very grey look on morality. New Fist of The North Star displays the world's society fighting for ambition and survival while Golgo 13: The Professional encourages Leonard Dawson's obsession with revenge.

Action-packed movies of the 1980's starring manly protagonists!

Both films have an emphasis on stylish visuals & great music. Dirty Pair Project Eden is a bit more dynamic in its sci-fi & visual flair while Golgo 13 delivers better action scenes reminiscent of 80's action films. While Dirty Pair is more feminine & Golgo 13 is more gritty, these movies contain the rule of cool & worth your time.

The assassins only work for based from contract and they will fulfill with any cost. The main story follows "Golgo" & "Noir" being chased by a powerful enemy who controls everything including economic country. Duke Togo & Yumura Kirika are Japanese people only based from passport info.
