Both anime are based on video games with a large all-girls cast. The plot revolves around battle and conflict with a rival faction or group of enemies. In KanColle, the girls are incarnations of battleships and participate in naval fights. Whereas in Senran Kagura, the fight is between Light and Dark shinobi (ninja) - fanservice present.

Both anime are school of martial arts oriented ecchi series filled with strong battle ready maidens. While Majikoi has more male characters than Senran Kagura the humor is similar. If you like ecchi and are a fan of one of the series, you may very well enjoy the other.

Both series involves girls who are trained for intense combat and displays their powers and abilities when fighting. In both series, there are various academies that trains the girls for glory and domination. Thus, both series has a lot of action, some drama, and a bit of fan service. Both series also involves some supernatural display regarding the techniques of the girls.

Similarities: Both have the same, martial arts, fantasy, ecchi and shoujo genre. Both have the same fighting chicks who can kick ass. Both have the same panty shots. Both have certain characters who is the weak link of the group. Dissimilarities: One has more intense ecchi than the other one. The weak link was girl in one anime while in the other anime it is a dude. One has an extra yuri genre while the other has harem and romance as its extra genre.

Both anime offer a good amount of action and fanservice. Great anime to enjoy for fun.

Boobies and action between many female characters. Groping each other's oppai, bouncing oppai and heavy fan service.

Both series are about kunoichi's aiming to be the best they can be. Despite the titles of the two series, all you will get throughout the majority of both animes are comedy and fanservice with little to no action slashing scenes.

Might be a good idea to play the game before you watch this, but maybe know that both series can be rather naughty but yet funny in their own way, and they both have rather fun characters

Both are raunchy video game adaptions with bizarre action. They appeal to exactly the same audience.

Watch the anime if you want some mindless action and such, play the games if you want real content They seem pretty similar enough with a focus on action and rather overt designs

Similarities: Ecchi, fighting, fan service, a clueless airhead protagonist Dissimilarities: Senran Kagura is about SHinobi in the modern-day, Sengoku Otome is about a girl nicknamed Hideyoshi back to the Sengoku period but in an alternate universe where there are no men and most of the daimyo are hella busty women and Oda Nobunaga is actually a good guy in the series. Oh well not completely devoid of the male species, there is a pervy male dog named Shinku who more or less helps Hideyoshi along the way who only talks to Hideyoshi and can only be understood by Hideyoshi which sometimes make people around here think  read more

- Both series features a group of only girls who are also ninjas/shinobi in secret. - Both series have similar genres, but SK focus on ecchi. - MCs have power ups in battle. RtS (Spyce), SK (Shinobi transformation) - RtS (bassed on Manga), SK (bassed on Game)

These two series aren't very similar at all except that both have quite a lot of fighting scenes. Sengoku Basara has a samurai theme with historical names while Senran Kagura has a high school ninja theme with a bunch of ecchi added in. The reason why Senran Kagura reminded me of Sengoku Basara is because Homura is like a female Date Masamune, wielding 6 swords the same way and her personality is a bit similar too. xD

OK, so it's a little embarrassing that I watch these, but these are good time fillers. Both have a small group of young girls that kick a little butt. Both are filled with fan service up the wazoo. Both have fun characters. Vividred is actually not bad until the "dock" where it gets overly cheesy Senran Kagura isn't quite as cheesy but it has similar cheesy moment. Senran Kagura is ninjas Vividred is ... well girls that apparently kick butt with a little help from magical/scientific-esque keys. If you like one then you are bound to like the other.

Both anime feature an entire female cast who are very talented and pretty much bad ass chicks. Koihime Musou however is set in the Sengoku Era i believe and Senran Kagura is set in modern times, and are Shinobi.

Both are ecchi series with quite a bunch of action thrown in. High School DxD has an angel VS demon theme going on when Senran Kagura has a good ninja VS bad ninja theme. Both have some characters dying and getting brought back to life to the opposite side they originally were fighting for. In both series the characters create some sort of alternate fighting dimensions for their battles. In both High School DxD and Senran Kagura the main character starts out pretty weak, clumsy and/or lacking in handling their powers but goes through training by their friends/masters and shines at the final fight.

The comedy is driven by enjoyable yuri scenes and perverted old men that love breasts.

Both anime are about two certain groups of people going against each other for a reason. Both MC have large boobs. Both Rivals have dark skin.

Nice character designs, a little bit of action, and some enjoyable fanservice. Additionally, all the main characters are cute girls and there are no male leads.

Chronicles of the personal growth, fun, and occasional trouble that five friends encounter. Senran Kagura has ecchi, more action and a few perilous situations but both shows have heart-warming friendships and likeable characters. Additionally, both shows have marvelous character designs and impressive voice acting.

Both have the same shoujo, martial arts, super powers, school, comedy, action and ecchi genre. The difference: Maken-ki: Has an extra romance and harem genre. The guy have special ability in which it has to be put in control otherwise he'll go berserk. It has intense fanservice. Senran Kagura: It has ninja and yuri as it's extra genre. It has one character who seems to be burdensome. Fanservice is only limited to bikini, lingerie and panty shots.
