Similar concept, time travelling + little bit of romance both are very well animated but Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo has better story and characters imo

What does the future hold? Both of the Anime explore this topic, yet I dare not go into how more lest I give spoilers for Nerawareta Gaukuen, but what the future holds does play an important role, with what the future holds having a slightly different meaning in each series with an emphasis being on future as relevant to the now.

Life isn't as it seems, nor is the end game. Friendships abound, but around them is darkness within the plot rather than a simple slice-of-life story.

If you're looking for a philosophical, confusing time travel plot, these two stories are alike. For instance, both display some similarities like good soundtrack and animation, the overuse of cellphone theme, romantic hints and again, a future where mankind is almost at extinction. I prefer NG because it develops its characters much better. In both, the plot is not very consistent and leaves you thinking and wondering, but if you appreciated one, you'll surely appreciate the other.

The new kid at school claims something that is honestly not believable, and yet what the new kid claims leads the other characters in both series on an unexpected adventure while maintaining the slice-of-life feel throughout.

I couldnt really think of an anime that is quite similar to this movie, but clannad has cheerful moments, romance, comedy and so forth so i think it suits best. Im not a person that will type what the movie is about, but to say my opinion of it. So to being with this movie has vivid animation so to speak ( greatly drawn ) has that realistic painting scenery. I label it as great, its never really made me lose interest in the plot and the characters were very well made from background to present. To keep things short, This movie is great i will  read more

Both are beautifully created anime with touching stories of fate and time travel and great music tracks. They both reference Shakespeare often.

- Beautiful art, animation and so colorful - Someone from the future (Nerawareta Gakuen is a boy, Irozuku Sekai is a girl) - Magic involved - Drama, love, life - and more to go... if you have watched Nerawareta Gakuen, you must feel that they have the same vibe especially when the person from the future is actually related to someone in the past (as in family, connected) and it will be turn into drama

Similar atmosphere and phantasmic setting; love polygons and futuristic edge. Both are bittersweet, memorable, and have captivating art to watch. Nagi no Asukara is a series while Nerawareta Gakuen is a movie.

-psychological school trauma -drama between friends -talking through and fixing problems -supernatural intervention of some omnipotent being -high tensions -nice, clean animations styles.

The same feelings at the end of the movie.

If you have a desire for more special ability children in high school. Nerawareta is the weaker link in my own personal opinion. Both of these can be frustrating for some people who dislike too much Drama but well worth the watch regardless.

Both are somewhat about a mission for our futur and both have similar love stories that will make your heart ache.

Both feature idilic locales of a seaside town. And a magical person of ancient lineage who wants to follow their own path against the wishes of their mentor, and that person being influenced and changed by the experiences of a normal, mortal life. The visuals, especially the magical effects, are a sight to behold in both.
