I am multi-passioned. I love to read, listen to music, draw, write, exercise, play sports, play board games and card games, and watch anime... of course.
My ratings do reflect the value of the film from my perspective, but my personal enjoyment does weigh heavily into the factor. Basically, if you see me rate something a 9 or a 10, there is no reason why you shouldn't watch it. If it's an 8, then it misses the mark of perfection, but not by much. A 7 is average. If it's a 6, that normally means that it may or may not be fit for watching. Be cautious with a 5. 4 is normally not to be attempted in my opinion. 3 and below... I wouldn't even try if I were you. Another thing that may help you decide whether to give something a go are the comments/tags that I have for each respective show. I basically try to sum them up quickly (sometimes successfully and other times not).
*Special note for series that I am currently watching*: Unless I am rewatching a series, I will provide a rating only for the last episode that I have watched that normally reflects almost only personal enjoyment. The true rating will be provided for the series as a whole once it has been completed.
I hope that this clarifies my stance on rating, helps people to decipher my guidelines, and provides enlightenment as to why I rated a show a certain way.

glasses girl is growing on me i think... i like the black-haired girl too though, and the character designs are nice (:
P.A. works is probably one of my favorite studios - their work is just so consistently gorgeous! i adore manaka and chisaki haha
that was a nice overview! i got kind of judgmental and didn't watch most of the ecchi or uninteresting-looking titles. i ended up not watching log horizon or golden time, and i fell asleep partway through both coppelion and samurai flamenco (but i think i'll go back and finish those). i do plan to watch outbreak company though... and i really liked the first episode of galilei donna! it's action-packed and cool (:
haha i just wish there was more time in each day... to watch more anime of course!
hmm... i haven't heard anything about pupa yet - is it available streaming anywhere?
also, i watched the first episode of kyoukai no kanata and really liked the main character. i like kyoani a lot, so i'll be keeping up with that one. i would also recommend nagi no asukara! i loved it right away :D
haha what have you seen so far?
good luck on your SAT!!! it's definitely a good idea to write your application essays early too... i didn't get into my ED school so i ended up hastily pulling together a ton of last-minute applications during winter break D:
but hey, i'm happy where i am now at least!
my exam went fairly well and i'm satisfied with my grade (: the issue is, i have another test for a different bio class tomorrow, and i'm not at all prepared for this one. oops.
haha that's awesome! i'm considering a few of those titles too... pupa looks pretty intense but i absolutely loathe caterpillars so i don't think i would be able to stand watching it. we should definitely discuss premiering episodes as they air (:
i'm doing well too, but my first test for a college class is tomorrow and i really haven't studied enough yet :\
i'm looking forward to it too, but i worry that i won't have much time to keep up with all of the ones that i want to try out. samurai flamenco, coppelion, galilei donna, yowamushi pedal, log horizon, kill la kill, and kuroko no basuke 2 are the main ones i'm eyeing... how about you?
how's everything going?
