Jeanne was clearly inspired by Sailor Moon, albeit the result is not as iconic. Both are mahou shoujo anime with the average air-headed schoolgirl who is actually the reincarnation of someone, and who can tranform into a blonde heroine and fight against the evil forces. Both male leads, also magically gifted, at the beginning always tease the girl, who initially hates him, but later on the two become a couple. Also, Sailor Moon had an episode about possessed paintings (which is what Jeanne is about). The main difference is that while in Sailor Moon the transformed version of Usagi is identical to her usual self, in Jeanne Maron changes  read more

A pretty obvious one, but both are of the magical girl genre. Both main characters, Maron and Sakura, have "magical" powers, little helpers that guide them, and rivals turned love interest. Also, both stories have well thought out plots, and unforgettable side characters!

Magical Girl genre. And it is from Arina-sensei. . .

Both stories have God in the plot, the heroines' "boyfriends" can transform, and both titles begin with "Kami." Could it get any similar to that?

They're a bit like the same. But I just love them both. Some reality and a little fantasy and that's what you need to get an perfect anime :D

Very similar in some aspects, but has romance and it's old school and very very good anime to watch.

both about girls who transform and help save the world.

Abandonment issues?! Child abuse?! In my magical girl shows?! Kamikaze and Uta Kata are not the sparkles and rainbows that some people think magical girl shows should be. Whether it's fighting one's inner demons, to actually turning into one, both shows highlight the weaknesses of the human heart. Tones vary from lighthearted to deadly serious in a flash; one moment it's cute slice of life in school and another it's bone-chillingly psychological warfare.

Both are Magical Girl shows that can get a somewhat dark tone sometimes. They also share a kind of 'religious' theme at some point. Other than that, they arey as different as magical girl shows can be.

Cat's Eye is also about thieves and romance. In This case, it's three sisters who are thieves. They also leave a calling card at the scene of each theft. One of them is dating the inspector who is assigned to capture them.

Dual identity themes, dealing justice to bad guys as well as lot of supernatural shit in it as well too and nice to look at art and interesting character designs.

both have dual identity characters stopping the bad guys and saving the day.

Both anime deal with religious stuff like demons and God & the magical girl is kind of an exorcist

Both deal in supernatural shit, as well as a strong female lead in it as well too and stopping the paranormal shit that causes nothing but misery to others and also nice art and character designs too.

both have religious symbolism and mythos to it as well as nice art and visuals as well too and a female lead.
report Recommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both have “angels” in it and both have a stylish and charismatic magical female lead who often works on their own during the journey as well too and a cocky and arrogant counterpart that rivals them who also happens to be a close friend throughout the story and also a focus on strange artifacts as well too.

both have secret hero identities, both have some sort of power to destroy evil spirits, both have romance, basically has the same plot, if you like one then you will definitely like the other

Both have girls who need to save the world from certain people who get a source from someone evil; Kaitou Jeanne: Devil, Powerpuff girls z:Him (which is basically a devil too).

-If you like evil spirits or "Youkai" (whatever it is) just like Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is all about "Evil Spirits" or "Demons" , and Jeanne D'Arc is the one who seals them but the original Jeanne D'Arc died so a reincarnation of her is born which is Maron. Its full of romance mostly and i like it. Then Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou talks about "Youkai's" but it doesnt seal the evils though. It just gives the name of that Youkai because it was lost. Well see its not really similar but i think they have the same point of views.

How could this possibly be similar? well Jeanne steals cursed paintings and then the victim unknowingly feels better and less stressed. Paranoia agent, on the other hand, a young man beats the crap out of you with a bat, then the problem you were stressed over goes away. With both of them, you're not happy with what they did but somehow you feel a lot better.

they both have a thief who steals back to help others. plus they both have a little romance where the girl thinks she is in love with two guys!!!

So Jeanne takes Sumire's place and the viruses' place is taken by the deamons who possess humans in order to take over the world and fill it with evil and sorow. you won't find lots of guns or action or shojo ai, but still if you liked VVV you may find KKJ cool as well:D!

Both star a thief who's always being hunted by the police, and especially one particular detective that won't sleep until their prey is captured and in jail.

both main characters are rhythmic gymnasts and teens who fall in love
report Recommended by Positiva
The way the main characters interact with each other, is somehow similar. The female lead characters have similarities in their personalities and tend to be quite fierce sometimes... but in a cute way ^^

-Overall plot is almost exactly the same. -Both involve stealing -Both involve disguising with an identity -Both involve romance You get the point

-Both considered as god kind of. -Both can transform. ( guy takes form of a kid, and in kamikaze, the girl takes form of the reincarnation of Joan of Arc ) -Both deal with demons -Both deals with taking away evil from people's hearts -Both deals with having a partner helping solve mystery who helps in a weird way, yet unclear why the partner helps. have fun,

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is like a mixture of Pretear and DN angel. Since this review is about Pretear and Jeanne I will focus on the similarities between these in particular. Both feature a strong female character with absent/or not really involved (pretear) parents. Both girls have unique magical powers and use them to try and save the world. Both are not understood by the "normal people around them. Both struggle with their mission and have those who help them. Both have dynamic relationships with male leads and are shoujo, romance, drama, magical girl. both have friends/allies who.. have... plot twists. both have magical beings helping  read more
