Guyver was heavily influential for Zetman. Dark superhero series with similar premises and character dynamics; a fan of one is likely to enjoy the other. The plots of the two revolve around powerful corporations responsible for the creation of monsters with the ability to disguise themselves as humans. Rivals of the leads in both are sons (adopted in Guyver) of the heads of the corporations and share hero/anti-hero relationships. And, of course, in both series full-body combat suits are used against the monsters.

A limited number of weaponized/genetically augmented humans must defeat a seemingly endless population of engineered monsters, for the sake of humanity. Where the characters of Terra Formars are determined to exterminate highly evolved cockroaches on Mars, to stop the spread of a fatal virus plaguing earth, the MCs of Guyver stumble into a society of genetically engineered monsters, with the intent and resources to dominate humanity.

Watching Generator Gawl felt like I was watching a secondary story in the Guyver universe. There are a lot of similar idea's and themes, interesting plot twists in both that are pretty cool, some characters are pretty similar (especially Guyver's Mizuki and Gawl's Masami), and of course bio-mecha action with characters that transform. If you like any of the Guyver shows, definitely check out Generator Gawl.

Both are modern anime adaptions of classic manga. In both The Guyver and Devilman: Crybaby, the main protagonist can transform into a strong humanoid entity and must utilize their new superhuman abilities to defend mankind against monsters that can morph into humans. Both anime are extremely action-packed, with plenty of violence, blood, and gore. If you like one, you should like the other as well.

Both titles are based on sci-fi manga from the 1980's. Both focus on the main protagonist who is merged with an alien power that gives superhuman abilities and use their powers to fight off other evil alien monsters disguised as humans and both kills their enemies with gruesome attacks. The differences between the two is that The Guyver is more sci-fi action oriented while Parasyte is more psychological horror. If you like, you should enjoy the other.

Both of these anime have characters using bio suits fighting other powerful evil monsters. They both deal with themes of the darker sides of human nature. Not to mention, these two anime are filled with action, blood, gore and violence. Definitely recommended these two anime for anyone who enjoys dark violent anime.

Well, basically that's a remake but it covers a bit more of the chapters from the manga. Everything else is pretty much the same but if you want to see a better character development and more from the story you should watch this. Plus if you like the original you will also like the remake.

Right of the bat, the only thing these two anime have in common is the "bio-boosting" armor they both have. For some people that maybe enough. - Figure 17 is for an older audience and follows the growth/coming of age of a young girl. The story itself is about the growth of the main character. The action, Impressive as it is, is more of a side story. I found it very emotional, with the highest highs and the lowest lows. - Guyver is a more typical shōnen. With a fight scene every episode, the series is more about the development of  read more

Both series have similar world-building in that the protagonists find relics of an ancient civilization on Earth and the origin of humanity are similar in both series.

Main Similarities: •Both shows are remakes (Guyver (2005) is a remake from the 1989 OVA Guyver while Ushio to Tora (2015) is a remake of 1992 OVA Ushio to Tora). •Both involves "beings" helping the main character. •Similar genres. •The remakes of the anime show has the vintage look as an homage to the earlier adaptions. •Both are a long series (26 episodes). Many might hate it at first but trust me, it gets better.

Both are modern anime adaptations of classic manga from the 1980's. They both have a protagonist, who use their superhuman abilities to fight strong evil creatures (vampires in JoJo, zoanoids in Guyver). You get plenty of action with blood and gore in these shows. The big difference between the two is that JoJo is more supernatural, while The Guyver is sci-fi. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

Both The Guyver and Genocyber are dark sci-fi action-packed anime with a lot of blood and gore. Both center on the main protagonist, who has the ability to change into a strong bio humanoid entity capable of annihilating their enemies with gruesome attacks. They both fight against a secret organization that wants to use their power for evil. The Guyver has a better story and execution, but they are both entertaining to watch. If you like one, you may like the other.

Both anime have a organization who is after the main character for a similar purpose because they have more strength than ordinary. There is also a similar romance relationship as they both are in love with a certain girl/woman.

Both share a similar story, The main characters of both are young men who gain alien power which they dont fully understand, but use in defence of them selves and their friends against an enemy who could be anyone. Both are full on action, strong story, great pace. All around fun anime aimed at a maturer audience

I found the power up form of the protaganist in Guyver similar to the one in Karas. Like Karas, Guyver is full of action, gore (though there's more in the original Guyver), fighting fearsome monsters.

Both shows deal with the main character having super natural powers (including a transformation), and fighting against the people with similar powers. There's plenty of twists in the plots in both shows, so if you enjoyed one of them then it'll be the same for the other.

Format is very similar, Unassuming boy gains a super powered alter ego due to alien influence and battles various monsters, while discovering the bigger picture. Guyver is just darker and more violent, also instead of the main character turning into a Woman, he turns into biological battle armor.

In both anime, the main protagonist gets access to armor that grants them superhuman powers and allows them to battle unique monster enemies. Both are dark sci-fi action anime with plenty of blood and gore. The only difference between the two is that they both have distinct settings (Apocalypse Zero is set in a post-apocalyptic world whereas The Guyver is not). If you like one, you should like the other.
