Both movies center around the theme: "You don't know what you have until it's gone."

*SPOILERS* Both are movies of a well-known anime where the main characters goes to an alternative world where everything has changed. They both start off trying to find a way back to their own world, but there are things they have to do first. In both movies, the supporting characters have changed (though much more in Naruto), and the antagonist is revealed to be the one you last expected.

Similar plot, set out in a different world involving some main characters but some moments they experience are rather.................you know you have to see for yourself.

Characters set out in a different world involving canonical materials of the main story.

Main characters go into different world (s) meeting similar characters but with different personalities. There are action, twists, dark and light moments, and comedy but less as well.

Both are emotional movies about the main character being able to see their family again after losing them from a young age. They both grow attached, knowing that this is false reality and pain. Very similar story, both absolute tear-jerkers, but must see. 10/10 movie
