Synopsis

High school freshman Houtarou Oreki has but one goal: to lead a gray life while conserving as much energy as he can. Unfortunately, his peaceful days come to an end when his older sister, Tomoe, forces him to save the memberless Classics Club from disbandment.

Luckily, Oreki's predicament seems to be over when he heads to the clubroom and discovers that his fellow first-year, Eru Chitanda, has already become a member. However, despite his obligation being fulfilled, Oreki finds himself entangled by Chitanda's curious and bubbly personality, soon joining the club of his own volition.

Soon enough, the club's membership grows to four, as Oreki's friends Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara join. Driven by Chitanda's insatiable curiosity, the members of the Classics Club solve the trivial yet intriguing mysteries that permeate their daily lives.

The first time I watched Hyouka I was half asleep in the middle of the night, binging it until the next morning. However, that severely diminished my viewer experience. I was taking everything at face value. I assumed Oreki meant everything he said. I did not understand a lot of the sentences. I did not appreciate the animation because I was so focused on getting through it. In the end I thought it was an okay show and I moved on.

However, rewatching it now, it is much better than I thought. Oreki doesn't actually mean what he says. When he monologues about other people's rosy ...

Hyouka is an anime based on a series of novels by Yonezawa Honobu. The anime adaptation was handled by Kyoto animation. also Hyouka is a mystery series about everyday occurrences, revolving around four high school students in the Classic Literature Club that only resolving small and seemingly insignificant mysteries. Starring a highly introverted and lazy male protagonist but smart, character are initially attractive but inadequately develop, and often repeat the same key lines through almost any situation. They carry through the scene enough to make it work, but not diverse enough to create anything of significance. Hyouka is a beautifully animated anime (great opening and ...

Hyouka is one of the best Anime of all time but statistically, most of the people are dumb and by dumb I imply many factors (its not something about IQ, it's about point of view of the people in general). Even though many of you can disagree with me, there is no doubt that most of the people are NOT self-conscious, they just live their life without thinking about it much and that is why they can find Hyouka a very boring and tedious.
I see no sense of describing the main plot of this anime, as many of you already know that as "very boring ...
