Hotblooded crazy samurai and ninja being all hotblooded and crazy in humorous over the top fashion. You expected something serious and vaguely realistically historical? Not here, baby. (Sengoku Basara does hold the distinction of actually being enjoyable however)

Both of these Anime contain a female lead who is sought out by both the bad guys and good guys. They both have very mild personalities and both anime have bishonen.

They're both similar in terms of coincidental meetings between male and female in the samurai era where the male has to protect the female even though he doesn't really want to, except Samurai Champloo has 2 males and 1 female and is more realistic to the era where as Brave 10 has a mix of several powers and more colour.

the main character is strong since the beginning and was feared by some

Surprised nobody made this recommendation yet. I'll keep it simple. Both series deal with ninjas with supernatural or enhanced skills.

Surreal battles in the woods, and main female characters that often stop the action scenes.

It takes place in the same era and also have fighters using ninpou.

The gather of a certain number of fighters to fight one powerful enemy. hmmm these two sound alike.

Similar theme and setting (although Nuraihyon no Mago tends to be set in the modern era). Battle involving historical weapons and ninja techniques are worth noting as well. Both series involves a group of warriors and the main characters has a hidden power.

when i saw Kirigakure Saizo (Brave 10) first thing that came on my mind was Ichigo Kurosaki, probably because their swords look alike

-Both main characters have to look allies who will help them and they all represent something different. -Both MCs can go evil at certain times like Shino goes insane when important people he cares about are in danger and the MC in Brave 10 goes evil at times when there is blood. -Both MCs have a guardian with them although the MC in Brave 10 is a girl. -The MCs also have someone after their power and want to use it for evil.

Though Rurouni is more revolved around Samurais and Brave 10 is revolved around ninjas, both have many unique things in common. First off there is a girl that falls in love with the man character, and both main characters have an evil pass where darkness comsumes them. Another pointer why i think these animes are similar is because they both use a secret art of fighter. Last is... they have happy endings :D

Both animes revolve around the main character who is a skilled fighter and does their job of protecting someone. The person they are protecting both hold a power that must not end up in the wrong hands or there will be extreme consequences. The animes also include great fighting scenes.

Both have ninjas. The main characters also hold a possibly dark power.

Although the art styles are drastically different the dynamic between the male and female companion duos are very similar.

They both have a strong guy main character and romance. The girls are weak, but then try to protect the main character.

If you liked Nanatsu no Taizai then you will probably like Brave 10. Similarities: - Both main male protagonists end up helping a priestess who is the main heroine of the story. - Both anime have characters with special powers. - Both heroines of the story are being chased by dark forces that seek some sort of chaos. - Both anime carry characters who are struggling with their pasts. - Both anime have groups of strong characters that gather around the main male and female protagonists to help them. I'm sure I'm missing some but you won't know that unless you check them both out! :-)

The main character wields a huge sword and is very strong. He protects a girl who has a mysterious power hidden within her. The relationship between the guy and the girl are similar.

~ 12-episode long anime~ ~ They both have many same genres, samurai/assassin, super power, historical, etc.~ ~ Good vs Evil~ It's kind of hard to set what's exactly so alike witch this two anime, the story are kind of alike and also the characters.

Both have romance in it. Both male leads are strong and are protecting the person most precious to them. They don't have the feelings at first but later gain them. Both female leads are pretty strong too. They both have predicaments where the main female lead gets kidnapped. In Brave 10 they don't get trapped in a game though, but both are amazing.

These animes share the same concept of samurai's during the Edo period or also known as the feudal era. In Brave 10, Sanada Yukimura gather 10 warriors to aid in his fight for what's right, as for Mushibugyou, Jinbe and the Insect Magistrate fight against insects attacking the town. Brave 10 has a light and comedic plot that follows Saizo Kirigakure. It also involves the supernatural, bishounen guys, and the art is beautiful. For Mushibugyou, the plot is also light so far but with a more darker feel as it involves the supernatural.

The same situation where good girl with dark powers had a chance encounter with a wandering warrior, then suddenly, wandering warrior found himself in the service of the said girl, the difference; in one anime the people who are servicing the girl were compose of a 9 man posse, while in the other anime is compose of a sibling tandem.

Historical is fiction SWORDS! SWORDS! SWORDS!!! Ninja fights, action strategy, has a whiny girl For some people the whiny girl in SB was Ichi Both have a character named Sasuke

Both is an anime about the old era and they both include Masamune Date and Hanzo Hattori. While a girl is sent back in time in Sengoku Otome, there aren't any modern stuff at all in Brave 10. (at least so far into it) While Masamune and Hanzo is male in Brave 10, they are female in Sengoku Otome.
report Recommended by morgankakashi
the main character is good at fighting and happens to meet new people

Both is an anime about the old era, but Hyakka Ryouran mixes this with modern times alas technology. And they contain Sanada Yukimura and Hanzo Hattori. While Yukimura and Hanzo is male in Brave 10, they are female in Hyakka Ryouran.

If you like one you should like the other ! Saizou (Brave 10) really look like Kyo (SDK), strong, never lost, power, and seem emotionless. Both have a girl (Yuuya in SDK, Isanami in B10),who will fall for the emotionless samurai, and this samurai would have some emotion for this girl. Both have same characters : Yukimura Sanada, Srutobi Sasuke, Iga Tokugawa. In brief : - Same characters - Same mood - Same Romance - Great combats scenes. If you like one, you will obviously like the other.

both are very colorful adventure stories with some angst about a group of diverse peoplle "protecting" a helpless and cute main character while he/she has a love-hate relationship with the toughest one of them. also it's similar in length and both have open endings sadly.

Interesting styles, spunky characters, odd ball humor mixed in with a serious story line. Lots of fighting.

the main protagonist, the guy wants to protect the girl, the girl helps him
report Recommended by pakin
Both are (mis)using historical figures of the Sengoku era, mixing them with Western figures (just a bit for Brave 10 with Anastasia, more with Nobunaga the Fool). The characters, both male and female, are attractive in the same way.
report Recommended by simakai
The main female characters of these series (Ellie in Groove Adventure Rave and Isanami in Brave 10) have the same happy-go-lucky personality yet share a dark secret

while one show is a historical samurai anime and the other a shounen ai school romance there are great similarities in the structure. both shows are written by Mamiko Ikeda, and i assume that's where the similarities come from: both shows are 12 episode light shows in which the dark story kicks in around episode 9. they revolve around a romantic couple that use to tease each other. it is told from the masculine point of view while the feminine, although happy and charming at first, holds dark deadly secrets. there are two male guardians with an intimate relationship that guide the couple but also watch  read more

While the story is slightly different, over all it gives pretty much same vibes. You have lots of characters who are either friends or enemies to the MC and have quiet silly personalities. Both series are based in ancient era, full of silly antics and action. The only real difference is a reverse cast. Brave 10 is male dominated, Blade & Soul is female dominated.

Young, streetwise guys who know what they're doing are looking after an innocent, mystery, blue haired girl who was on her own within a conflict environment. Neither of these anime's are set in our time period.
report Recommended by Gleam_Queen
Historical shows (different eras though) that involve adventure, action, interesting cast, and - to a lesser degree in Brave 10 - supernatural elements. Both shows also give off the same feeling of great potential, but they're not quite there.

Bishonens, powers, drama, romance and both have endings.

Similarities: Both involves pesky girl with special abilities messing with guy's life. Both involves a group of protagonist with special abilities. Both have the same bad ass antagonist, who proves to be a challenge for the protagonists. Dissimilarities: Pesky girl's special ability in one anime has a very dark side into it, while the special ability of the pesky girl in the other anime has the ability to help the protagonist. The pesky girl in one anime is irritating in the sense that she always insist that the protagonist follow the law, while in the other anime the pesky girl there is a bimbo. One anime has a little bit  read more
