Bittersweet short movies that leave your insides warm and fluffy by the time you finish. These min-movies don't have any voice-acting, instead it chooses to tell the story by using beautiful art and music.

These two have a strangely similar feel to their tone and melancholy. While the stories are fairly different, their settings are both lonely and desolate. Hidden gems that are worth your time.

No words needed to tell a wonderful story. Great animation, soundtracks, nice story, expressiveness without a single word.

Both are short films -less than an hour with no words, cute and pretty weird (in a good way). Also, there's some kind of sad/dark (but Nekojiru is way more dark though)

Empty world, forgotten land. All left here, remains to rot into the dust it once was. Rain Town and Je T'aime follow a solitary individual in this void empty nothing. Simply wandering, and wandering, until time meets its eternal rest. Good shorts about the reflection of some kind in such desolated worlds.

More so the relationship, and it is a rather odd one, but they are powerful given the context of both worlds, and the means to part in such untimely fashion is rather glum. It's not just there for show either, the general acclamation suggests these relationships be as powerful as normal anime would be too. They are good shorts that focus on relationships, Rain Town takes into account the atmosphere and Kanamewo, you have to do some context digging to grasp it entirely.

The story of Katoran from Eve no Jikan is very similar to Rain Town plot, isn't it?

"Rain Town" and "Garakuta no Machi" (5th story from "Sweat Punch" series) are both short and slow paced animes. They have different atmosphere but the plot have similar themes. We see alone child exploring near future world in both of this animes. The child meets an artificial intelligence and communicates with it. "Rain Town" is voiceless and "Garakuta no Machi" have only a few conversations. However, "Garakuta no Machi" is more optimistic and have comedy scenes while "Rain Town" is sorrowful and depressive.
