Poorly written, sad excuse for a dream of being OP and having a harem.
Spoilers ahead
The story starts of with an interesting idea and makes the MC OP but at cost. And this is where the whole thing starts to fall apart. Pretty much after one episode.
People and monsters have levels but they are meaningless since the MC can easily kill enemies 3 times his level while not even using his OP skills.
Apart from the first girl who new MC for years, all others fall for him because he said a few nice words making it look like there are zero nice guys in the whole
...
world.
The girls are boring, bland and all they end up caring is how to get closer to MC.
The academy they study at starts the same for the millionth time in this kind of stories: MC is hated but the most beautiful girl is nice to him and ends up falling for him.
The teacher, hot and big boobs naturally, gives MC a reward by sitting on his face in front of the whole class. Totally normal for a school.
The bath episode: can't be a harem without many naked girls at once... MC bravely protects the girls from being seen by the boys. His reward: stripped naked by the female teacher and all the girls, blindfolded and taken to bath with all the girls.
To me that is a humiliating punishment, but I guess for the guys and MC who enjoy being humiliated by women it's a reward.
The two good things about this whole anime is that the MC is not a spineless wimp with girls and actually kisses etc them and that the girls aren't a shy mess.

A heartbreaking story of a high school girl that runs away from home because her mother abuses her and finds a new home is a great start.
Together with several love interests for the main male characters, there is more than just one relationship.
For 11 episodes I liked this anime and tolerated the good intentions but stupid results that the main male character Yoshida did hoping that when the time comes he would do something smart.
SPOILERS AHEAD - the reason I dropped this.
Those hopes have been burned into nothing.
At the critical moment when Sayu confronts her abusive mother who doesn't care one bit about her child,
...
Yoshida literally kneels in front of this horrible woman begging her to take care of Sayu.
I don't know if this is a Japanesse thing and I'm just not understanding it but for me a horrible parent should be punished and lose every right to the child, not have people beg them to actually take care of the child.
Yoshida begging that piece of shit to be a parent made me feel disgusted by him and Sayu's brother who did pretty much nothing to protect his little sister.
Sayu should have never returned to that house or if she did, she should have screamed at her mother and vent out all the misery that that bitch caused her and then never see her again.
This started good, had plenty of funny and heartwarming moments but episode 12 completely ruined it.
I know what happens later since the story is completed but the way this was handled... I just can't tolerate it.

I'll start with the title that doesn't make much sense since the girl MC isn't clumsy, she very confident and shy while also a brilliant inventor.
(I know those are opposite, she's confident when trying to seduce him but when he gets close she backs off)
The story is pretty much non existent but it doesn't matter much. This is not some deep story anime, it's more pure fun with some ecchi notions. That said, while there is nudity in the anime it's covered up by the inventions of the MC.
The male MC however is the typical naive, clueless, innocent, dense dumbass. However while he does get
...
hurt and yelled at a lot, he's not the only one hurting. The girl MC has pretty much every experiment fail in a funny way. This is the redeeming quality of this anime, crazy experiments for the male MC to realize that the girl MC likes him.
Don't expect too much from it, only funny scenes and you'll enjoy it.

While there are much better romantic anime, Horimiya does not disappoint. The story does jump around quite a bit from different couple to couple but it's not hard to follow and it deals with real issues without the usual forced humor or ecchi scenes.
What is nice is that more than a few characters make actual progress getting closer to the people they like or confessing their feelings unlike some stories where it takes them 100 chapters to hold hands then another 100 to say I like you.
Some characters might irritate you because they are so shy and ignorant about the opposite gender (not only
...
the guys here) while some will surprise you with their fetishes or emotional strength. All in all, it's a mixed bag of good and bad.
Art is fine, while the sound is better than expected.
As for the downsides of the whole thing, while it adapts the manga rather well it also skips a lot of stuff so some relationships suddenly jump ahead by quite a bit from being embarrassed to hold hands to suddenly her sleeping with her head on his crotch (not naked).
The other things is that since it's only the first season the full story is just starting, many of the romances haven't properly started so the ending isn't all that "forever after."

In short: OP MC that is incredibly stupid and naive being pursued by most of the female characters, literally fighting for him in front of him and he has no idea what is going on.
Long version:
The main idea is good, it has a lot of potential and shock value for other characters not to mention comedy. Story however is only mediocre with author trying to overlap different arcs and put some mystery in there basically keeping the MC in the dark when he could be helping out a lot more if he was only told about it by the chief.
Characters are for the most
...
part just horrible. There are only a few characters that have any other value than to make things ecchi or ridiculous. Both are MC's class mates and have some character development. The rest are just simpleminded with one goal. Like Phyllo, she meets MC, attacks him, he isn't hurt even tho he took the attacks directly and then she wants to marry him the next second.
Art and sound are decent.
Enjoyment... this is another just stupid part of all this. While MC is naive to the point of total absurdity he also makes zero progress there. He calls monsters bugs, he things humans possessed by an evil spirit are just ill, he thinks that a monsters taking over a human is cosplaying... I've seen a lot of stupid characters in the anime genre but this MC is on a whole other level.
While MC's power is far beyond what normal humans can even imagine, it's been a while and he still hasn't realized any of it. His power also changes depending on the situation. One time he's super powerful, like when Phyllo attacked him hard, he didn't defend at all but hadn't moved even a tiny bit, then next time he's a weakling when he saw Riho naked and Phyllo sent him flying like a rocket with one casual attack.
Overall
This is an anime that you can enjoy only if you like flashy stuff and a little of ecchi and harem themes. Anybody that cares about anything else and uses their brain while watching will see that this anime is just crap.

In short: skip this terrible anime.
In detail.
The story starts off pretty well where 16 year old brother and sister move in together after not seeing each other for 6 years. The first episode is funny with her trying to spend romantic time with him even tho she can barely handle him hugging her and him refusing every single one of her advances.
The 2nd episode is where it all becomes ridiculously stupid. For some reason, 3 other girls live with them. One is sex predator literally trying to rape MC and sexually harrases other girls, one is constantly insulting him while sometimes trying to make him
...
think about sex stuff and one is getting herself into ecchi messes then beating him up when he's completely innocent or making a mistake then shouting at him in front of half the school. In short, all 4 girls are certifiably crazy. Not to mention MC isn't interested in any of them romantically. Yet he keeps going to school, works a job, fixes up the place where they live and still puts up with all the stupid shit they put him through. He's one of the most pathetic, spineless, male characters ever. Any man that isn't a masochist would have moved out of this mental institution a long time ago.
The only kinda good things are the ecchi scenes and the sound.

One of the best romantic manga I've read so far. I'll admit tho that I don't have that much experience reading manga so there might be much better works out there so take that into consideration.
While the ending (who Raku chooses) is predictable from like page 5, it wasn't at all a bad one. The last chapter had me in tears multiple times and you can't help but love almost all the characters. There is just so much character development put into this work. So much of their inner thoughts. It can be a bit frustrating sometimes when you see some characters that like or
...
even love each other but don't say anything yet the story explains very well why they do what they do so I never felt like the characters were just idiots that can't talk to the opposite sex like some manga/anime make them.
While some characters at first present themselves are unlikable (there are plenty of those), they all eventually show their true self and it's realistic, it's relatable from their point of view.
Rereading won't give me the same enjoyment as the first one, after a year or two I'll probably reread it again just to remind myself of everything this characters went through since it was an amazing journey.
9/10 Amazing, totally recommend.

Cute story, like a real fairyttale. Starts strong but right away slows down to snail's pace and keeps up that development speed for almost 50 episodes of season 1, 2 and specials.
Characters are for the most part ok, Belldandy, Urd, Peorth, Hild and Megumi are fun and interesting, Skuld and Marller are a bit annoying, the rest except Keiichi are forgetable or plain filler characters instead of having richer backgronds 0n main ones.
Now, the main guy, Keiichi, a character that has frustrated me so much I literally wished he'd get beaten to an inch from dying multiple times. Why? Because calling him loser,
...
no guts, no balls, worthless weakling would be a huge upgrade, that's how pathetic he is.
Don't watch this expecting romance, there is none. Just a bunch of Godesses pactically throwing themselves on him, one of which he even loves, bu he's too shy to hold hands with her.
