Starting off with the story, I have to praise several things. 1) They treated mental illness with the most tact that I have seen from an anime in a long time, and they didn't sexualize the two main characters for the sake of being a laughing point like many shonen-ai series. I wish that it had been longer (or the episodes had been longer) because it feels like there's still more that needs to be told, but the ending is still solid. I don't know how much, if any, more the original novel covers and if we got the full experience (minus the stuff that

I loved this short music video, the colours and sounds show what can happen when two giants of their industries get together and work on the same project. I liked how in the first half the pokemon that were covered by blocks of colour, were covered in their primary/main colours. I just wish we got to see more of Wally than just his back shot. It was really cool seeing pokemon show love to all generations from gen 1 all the way up to their current generation, with no one generation being given priority over another. Just a heads up to anyone that has photo-sensitivities

FIrst off, the idea of a Yaoi Isekai is great, but this series feel flat of the promise the idea had. The episodes have little overarching plot development and the sex scenes in the "unrated" version are still censored. One day we will get a BL/Yaoi Isekai that actually has a good story, but until then I'd avoid this. In fact, the only reason I watch the episodes is because I like the OP and ED, and on the site I use to watch this it's easier to just wait it out than try scrubbing through the player opening pop ups in the process.

What to say about Promare…? First of I want to say that the story was solid, even if there were a few predictable parts in it, the ethos of the whole thing more than made up for it. I never knew it was possible to hate someone after their first appearance on screen. The Freeze (Freezing?) Force guys we’re all complete assholes, but Burning Rescue provided enough of a foil for that. The art was alright, but sometimes the change in art style within a scene didn’t jive with me. I am not a fan of most of Studio Trigger’s work so take that with

Story: 9/10
I feel like the story for this anime was really strong, but it suffered from two main things that dropped it down from a 10. The first is that the first three or four episodes felt really disconnected from each other, and more of a "gem of the week" type of series. This was fixed as the series continued, but it could be a hurdle for people wanting to get into this series that they have to watch half of it before they can see the connected plot line. The other issue I found with the story was that like anything based on books, ... Jan 20, 2020

I started watching this anime on a whim, and was completely drawn in from the start. This series has moments that are smart, hilarious, stupid, and even cringe worthy; in short, there is something for every taste (especially if you like a quartet of bishie boys). There is a slight overarching story that hints at something unpleasant in each of the characters’ past, but this isn’t really fleshed out too much. It is probably shown more on the manga, and if there ever is a season 2 I hope it expands more on the past. This series has nothing that digs deep into a profound

This was the first manga that I read that I really liked. The story and characters were both extremely fleshed out and felt real to me.
The story deals with people who have hearing disabilities and the struggles they face, as well as the mistakes that non-hearing impaired people do while interacting with them. It delves into feelings of inadequacy and self doubt, and questioning where your place in the world is. The struggles are not only faced by the character with a hearing impairment, but rather every character-even the minor background ones- are fleshed out and made human. I'm glad that it is continuing, ... May 30, 2019
Let me start off by saying this first: the relationship between Shirotani and Kurose was not healthy in the slightest at the very beginning. Saying that you would be helping someone with their mental illness only because you find them attractive is not only unethical, it is also plain vile and abhorrent. At least Kurose admitted to that fact and seemed distraught about it. In fact, the only redeeming part of their relationship is the fact that both of them came clean and told the other about their secrets and their pretenses.
All in all, I am glad that everything worked out for them, because ... May 30, 2019

This manga was extremely short and an easy read for something to distract myself. The story was fairly basic and the plot was predictable, but enjoyable. The main problem that this manga had was the brevity of it. It was so short that not a lot of the characters were able to be fleshed out and made real. The mangaka had a great character and story base but did little with it. If we were only given a few more glimpses into either of the main characters' backgrounds or the ending was expanded further it would have been a great manga rather than just an

I struggled with how to rate this one. I really enjoyed the series (I haven't seen the OVA or read the manga yet) and feel like the portrayals of classical music culture are accurate to what I have experienced during my time in that world. This series has a great story, great music, and great timing, and should have been an easy 8/9 rating for me. And it would have been, except for the glaring CGI. I have nothing against CGI being used in anime or any other art form, but the scenes that jump into CGI from a more "traditional" look seem so out
