After months of passing over KKM in favor of other animes, I'm finally glad to be able to watch it or else I would have missed such an amazing anime. The summary at the back of the dvd doesn't really capture how interesting KKM is, it actually makes one think that this is just one of the animes with the same story.

Now if you get passed that notion and actually watch it, the first episode alone would piqued your curiosity. And the lines! The characters and the story itself are backed by amusing, witty, and clever lines. As Yuuri gets sucked into the demon world, ... you travelled along with him, also taking in with wonder/amazement at this strange world that might have been mistaken for old england, as well as laugh at the unusual customs like slapping one's cheek as a form of proposal, picking up objects as a request for a duel, or even just the plain difference of how one should sound when rowing a boat or taking a deep breath! Its truly an interesting magical world where dragons and magic still exists.

The Characters are very well made, it makes one sympathizes, love, laugh, or be annoyed at them at one point or another. The seiyuus did a good job, I especially like Conrad's seiyuu! and it was surprising to find edogawa conan's seiyuu in these anime. Eventhough it was stretched into 78 eps, you won't feel tired of watching each episodes as it offers different situations that gives off the humor, suspense, shounen-ai, adventure, and mystery!

First chinese dubbed anime that I just finished watching, so the story's still fresh in my mind. I've seen bits of this anime in our local channel, back then it was already pretty interesting but I haven't been able to catch it always on tv. The plot is very interesting, centering around a 13 year old boy who has a magical touch when it comes to cooking. Like his mom, Mao believes cooking should be used to bring happiness to people, and this is the theme the story revolves in. One can't help but cheer for Mao as he goes through ... several tough cooking competitions. Ever watch the Ironchef Master show in Japan? This is the anime version. Man, I can't help but crave dimsums, fried rice, & other chinese food while watching this. What's interesting is that the show offers lots and lots of trivias about food -- I never realized till I watched it that there are lots of food that can actually improves our health! The characters are very well done, all of them are likeable and its more effective since it uses the bad-guy-turned-good-guy style, making us like the other characters that we thought annoying at first. The phasing of the series is great as well -- with each event getting more and more interesting as one watches. The parts I definitely like is the Super Chef competition. The Dark Society of the cooking chefs and the quest for the legendary utensils added that suspense factor, making it not just an ordinary cooking competition. The only thing that lessens the enjoyment a bit is the ending -- I was thinking there must be another chapter to this but its the end, apparently this is the case wherein the audience is left to imagine that Mao's group defeated their enemies, him accepting top chef position and finding all the legendary utensils. Its too bad since if they had just made it a bit longer, the ending would definitely be a happy ever after

I was prepared to see a lot of sex scenes in this yaoi anime, and I'm glad to say that although it does have a lot its pretty well made and it uses these blurred style in hiding the um..private parts, hahaha...The characters are cute though, with the usual style of making one of the guys more feminine than the other. Story-wise, its pretty simple -- two guys met and develop an attraction for each other, then has the usual fights between couples and in the end patch it up in the end..its cute if you're into the guy-guy love story.

I was surprised this ... has a second story, or is it like a bonus one? I found the second one a bit bolder than the first, with a surprising scenario about a pet sitter who found a binded naked guy who he thought was a rabbit! Crazy, thats for sure, and a bit sad though since the naked guy was forced there by a guy whom he loved but abuses him. In the end he ended the relationship and the sitter and him met once more in school. Oh, and the sitter kinda reminds me of Hideki in Chobits hehehe..this one is not for those easily shocked!

The first anime I watched with a light yaoi feel, hahaha..Funny enough the fact that it has a slight touch of yaoi makes this anime a bit more interesting than the usual agents-from-the-afterlife-theme series. The opening music is amazing and suits it well, with cool guitar and electronic mix and lyrics that matches the series itself. Its a mixture of dark and humor -- centering on Tsuzuki and his co-shinigamis, who are in charge of keeping the balance in the afterlife by making sure that those who die go to their right place and investigating situations that threatens that balance caused by mysterious deaths that ... occurs in succession. Alhtough I prefer the manga version more which is longer, this anime is very well done and all the vital chapters are included. Although it has funny situations, the dark side of each characters are shown -- each with their own reasons for becoming a shinigami, whether its for finding one's dark past or for atoning for their mistakes. The antagonist Dr. Muraki is very effective, he's darker than dark, yet charming and comes across as very likeable. For anyone who wants a different yet familiar series to love, this should definitely be on your list.

If you're a mystery maniac or just looking for an entertaining series to watch, you can't go wrong with this one. Although the age of the characters belies the depth of each case, its a good plot for anyone who once and still wishes to be like sherlock holmes, nancy drew, etc. Imagine a school that actually develops one's deduction skills at a very young age. The graphics could use a bit more improvement, but nevertheless the cases are varied -- ranging from light to crimes that leaves you feeling regret and pity for the characters involved. There are plenty of funny scenes, and suspense ... especially when the good detectives meets with the antagonists. The ending's a bit lacking, since there are no final results on the crime group that the detective school are fighting against, and there's no closure either on one of the character's story. All in all, the main attraction for this anime is the interesting cases the students solves, and how they came up with the results behind it.

At first glance you'd think its your typical CSI-themed anime, however Detective Conan dishes out much more than that. If you're a fan of sherlock holmes, agatha christie or simply likes a challenging and entertaining series to watch, then you must not miss this. Each cases shows different clever, cunning, and even devilishly simple ways of committing a crime! The solutions are well-explained, and teaches readers the logic behind each reasoning. The cases are varied, ranging from simple to sometimes gruesome murders. The characters are pretty effective, and I'm sure people will like them more with each episodes they watch. There's plenty of comedy, as ... well as drama and suspense. What's more, the never-ending question of when Ran and Shinichi will admit their feelings is one of the key factors why you have to get glued to this series. Frankly, I'm happy that the series is this long, because whoever wants a good thing to end?

This anime's selling point is comedy, comedy, and comedy. At first glance, the male characters aren't as appealing to look at, unlike say, ouran host club. They all seem to be wearing too much eyelashes and lipstick. Kyohei is the best looking of the four, I daresay. As for the story, its a typical laugh-in-you-face theme, with hilarious situations like nose bleeds and excessive addiction to anything horror and blood related stuffs. Sunako's protrayal of a reclusive, horror-blood-splatter-loving female who gets nosebleeds whenever she sees anyone beautiful is hilarious, as well as the silly romantic escapades of her aunt in the series. There is ... an underlying depth to this series, especially with issues on accepting oneself and seeing past another's physical appearance. The ending's a bit lacking, since after being glued to sunako's and kyouhei's budding closeness one kinda hopes to see them become a couple. All in all, if you're looking for a good pick-me-up anime this one is definitely a must-see.

Another great case featuring Shinichi Kudo aka Conan Edogawa. Although the case is a bit prolonged, its story and pace more than makes up for it. First off, a mysterious client asks for Mouri Kogoro (with Ran, Conan and detective boys) to meet at a hotel. There, they were given an electronic wrist strap as a vip entrance to a nearby theme park where they can ride anything for free - on condition that Mouri and Conan will stay and solve the case. It gets more interesting as the two meet up with Hattori and other detectives, only to discover that all of them are ... in the same predicament -- solve the case or the people they love will die! Its a fast-pace adventure as both conan, hattori, and mouri (he's serious for once, aww) race ahead of time to save their loved ones in the theme park.

If you wanna get scared, entertained and learn at the same time, this anime is definitely a must-see! Ghost Hunt lives up to its name, delivering an effective plot that will leave you glued to your seat. It has that perfect mix of scariness and humor, with characters that makes the story come alive. Some parts where they explain psychic phenomenons are interesting, as well as an insight on japanese occult. There are several humorous situations as well, the episodes are well-written, making you scream at one time and laugh at the next. The opening theme is pretty cool too, kinda reminds you of that ... classic opening in twilight zone. Too bad it was never completed. Hopefully there'll be a sequel to Ghost Hunt, since there are a lot of questions left to be answered particularly naru's identity and mai's feeling for him.
