Personally, I loved this anime because it was a pychological horror. Don't be fooled by the opening (even though I love it) because the show isn't as happy as it seems to be. I loved the characters in the story, however I wished we learned more about the side characters. Seeing that there probably won't be a season two, it was very disappointing to learn so little about the side characters. However, there were only 12 episodes, so I understand they probably couldn't fit it all. Another disappointment was the ending (no spoilers) because I wished that I knew what that last frame actually meant. ... But I guess that just adds to the excitement of it.

Now some good things about the anime. There was some good character development, especially with Decim, by the end of the anime. Also, I loved how you slowly found out the backstories of the people being judged as they were being judged. You got to realize things as they did making the surprise factor stronger in this area. Also, there was a death note reference in the anime (not telling where but it was pretty obvious) that made me laugh so hard. And if you watch this anime, you are bound to love Decim because of his change by the end. Speaking of the ending, I was in tears because it was so sad, I don't think I will ever be able to get over it.

To sum this anime up, you should watch it if your into things that make you think of human emotions and what makes humans humans. Also, if you like mild horror, I would also go for this. And if your looking for a bit of a tear jerker, go for this anime. This was my first review and I hope I can finally get over this anime. I hope you guys can enjoy it as much as I did!
